A/N : Tourettic!Noah with copropraxia and very mild coprolalia (as in saying yikes things but not actually swearing) because I need someone to project onto and he seemed like the best candidate out of my ticcing headcanons- One of my more prominent vocal tics currently is just "Andrew Garfield!", and a lot of the fandoms I am in don't really make sense for the characters to know who the fuck Andrew Garfield is but MTV Scream takes place in the mid/late 2010s so it works well. Takes place post season 2 (no Halloween special because fuck that)
Audrey lied on Noah's bed while the boy clicked away at his computer, working on a script for an upcoming special on The Morgue. He didn't usually script things for it as he found it worked much better just coming out at once (plus, a lot of his episodes were interview-based anyway), but when it came to bigger episodes covering broader cases, he liked to keep things structured. There was no talking between him and the girl lying on his bed, but it was a comfortable silence. They just enjoyed one another's company. Besides, this wasn't really out of the ordinary for them.
What was out of the ordinary was how much Noah was ticcing.
Over the years, Audrey had grown to not really notice it. Most of his tics were motor anyways, and even when he did have vocal tics, they weren't super disruptive. At this point, Audrey would usually just either ignore them completely or instinctively chuckle at one she found amusing (which Noah assured her was okay). It was just a thing that Noah had. A part of him that was neither a pro nor a con. Just an aspect of him that Audrey had accepted from day one and never made a point out of. However, she noticed that he was ticcing a lot, including many vocal ones. That was not normal, and she was concerned.
"I've got a gun!" the boy involuntarily announced in a slightly Irish accent, pointing finger guns in front of him. He looked more annoyed than anything at that. That particular tic had always gotten on his nerves. It was especially annoying in school, because announcing that you are armed at a school in America (especially considering Lakewood's bloody history) is pretty alarming to anyone who doesn't know what's really happening. He grunted a few times and rigidly gave the middle finger to nothing. Audrey frowned, because she could tell how painful those rigid motions were for him.
"You're ticcing a lot today" she said bluntly, though didn't really look at him as not to make him uncomfortable. "Uh, yeah I- Andrew Garfield!- I guess I am" Noah replied, flipping her off as he did so. Had this been anyone outside of the Lakewood Four, he would've apologized. After all, who wants to get the birdie? But, Audrey and the others understood his tics to an extent (Audrey and Emma even had motor tics themselves whenever they got particularly stressed, the former of which also had copropraxia), so he knew she wasn't gonna be offended over it.
"Can I help?" Audrey asked him gently as his neck jerked a few times, accompanied by some slightly painful sounding grunts. He hit himself once in the chest and then his hand flew away into the ASL sign for 'Yellow' of all things. He seemed to contemplate her offer (if one could call it that), and she waited patiently. Eventually, he sighed in what seemed to be resignation, his head jerking once as he did so. "Could you- Haha, drugs!- Could you uh... Hold me?" he asked awkwardly. "If you're not- Hyper!- Comfortable with doing that, you obviously don't have-"
"Noah, we've been friends since freshman year" Audrey cut him off gently, sitting up and patting the spot next to her on the bed so he knew to come over. "This is not the first nor the last time I help you, and you know I don't mind" she continued as the twitching boy began to get up off of his rolling chair. "Come here"
Noah sat next to her and took her hand in his own (to prevent any self destructive tics, which usually came from that arm). "Andrew Garfield!" he yelled, his left arm shooting up in a finger gun. Audrey felt his right arm try to pull up as well but her hand prevented it. "He is hot for a guy, yes" Audrey responded with a small smile, getting a chuckle in response. Noah's head jerked a few times and his whole body tensed up as some more tics ran through him. It looked exhausting, and Noah exhaled sharply when they finally stopped for a moment.
"I wish there was more I could do to help you" Audrey told him quietly. He shook his head in a way that was decidedly not a tic. "I- Dead babies on the road!- I don't think there is anything you can- Haha!- Do to help aside from this" he told her, his left arm shooting up with the middle finger. Once again, she felt his right arm try to pull up but her hand prevented it. She almost felt bad for blocking the motion, but she knew his jaw would probably be bruised if he let that arm have free motion. "I appreciate- Mph- This, for the record"
"I am glad to help you in any way I can" Audrey told him as she felt his right arm try to shoot up towards his jawline. "You're my best friend, Noah"
"What about Emma?"
"My girlfriend doesn't count, smartass"
