A/N : Takes place in between episodes 1 and 2. Autistic!Aasi because I said so. Also I'm using the Finnish names for the characters because it feels weird calling Aasi "Donkey"

Aasi has honestly been so kind, letting Morso stay with him despite his constant paranoia. Then again, he didn't know that Morso even was a morso, which definitely helped. Despite how much he loved to think he was the mastermind of all things related to morsos, he didn't even know what they actually looked like. He had just heard vague whisperings about scary, beastly creatures lurking about the woods.

It was a good thing too that Morso had overheard his nervous ramblings through the doors, because if he had just called up and said "Hey, my name is Morso and I need a place to stay", that probably would not have ended well for either of them. He probably wouldn't be staying in the same house as the donkey even if it hadn't ended in some freak, knee jerk reaction that resulted in injury or worse.

"Myrsy" Aasi called from the other room. It took a second for Morso to remember that he was the one the donkey was calling for. He sighed and got off of the hammock he had been comfortably lying in, set down the book he had been reading, and walked into the kitchen where his new roommate was.

"Did you need something, Aasi?" the smaller mammal asked, a slight smile forming at the corner of his stiff lips. Aasi smiled back at him, though he was still alarmed by the guy's slightly unorthodox appearance. "Yes" Aasi confirmed after a moment. "I was going to clean up some around here and I wondered if you would help out a bit" he explained. Morso nodded, then walked to the corner and grabbed the broom and dustpan.

"I can sweep around if need be" he said flatly, but Aasi could tell that this flatness did not come from annoyance- He just was a grumpy sounding guy in general. "Yes, that would be appreciated" Aasi confirmed. "Oh, and be careful around the clock. Käki gets grumpy if you knock into it" he added with a nervous chuckle, fidgeting with his hooves to offset the nervousness. It was a self-stimulatory tactic Morso had noticed but never commented on. If it helped to soothe the donkey's paranoia, then there was no need to point it out.

"Why did you get a cuckoo clock that was sentient?" Morso asked, slightly amused. Käki was such a strange presence, and he didn't see what her purpose was, but he also didn't mind it. Even if he did, it's not like he would complain about it. He was just glad to have somewhere to stay, and he appreciated the domestic life he had taken up with his roommate. It was more peaceful than he had ever known previously.

"She was here when I found the place!" Aasi defended himself, getting a good laugh out of the morso. "You could have evicted her is all I'm saying" he joked, to which Aasi playfully elbowed him in the side. "Come on, Myrsy" he scolded gently. "She's not that bad"

"Fine" Morso conceded with a smile. "I'll admit that I actually find her strange existence kind of charming" he admitted, getting an unamused (though not in any serious sense) expression from the donkey. "You are the worst" Aasi rolled his black eyes. "You love me" Morso quipped back.

"Yeah" Aasi gave a content exhale. "I do"
