A/N : Takes place in book 5 during chapter 3 while they're walking to the Big House.

Annabeth, Percy, and Chiron walked towards the Big House. Chiron walked a little bit ahead of the two teenagers, wanting to give them a moment to themselves. They hadn't really had a moment together since the last year, so he wanted them to be able to talk one-on-one, even if only for a short time.

"On a scale of one to ten, how worried should I be about this prophecy?" Percy asked the blonde, clearly nervous. His nerves were not helped by the fact that she was fidgeting with her leather necklace, which she tended to do when she was worried herself. "It's... Fine. It's fine" Annabeth responded, but Percy could see it was an obvious lie. If it wasn't a lie, she wouldn't have seemed so damn nervous.

"Annabeth, I... Please. I need to know what to be prepared for. I can't do this alone" he told her, hating himself for how desperate he sounded. The truth was he was really scared. Just in the last day, he'd lost a good friend of his and aided in the death of several half-bloods. There were all kinds of guilt weighing heavy on his conscience, and the knowledge that the fate of Olympus rested on his shoulders did not help things.

"You're not alone" she assured him, cautiously reaching out her hand- Almost experimentally- For him to take in his own. With a hefty sigh, he accepted it and felt his nerves calm down slightly at the touch. Annabeth often had a way of calming him down, however small the gestures were. This was a perfect example of that, as her hand gave him something to focus on other than his growing anxieties. "You're not alone, Percy" she repeated. "I promise"

"...Okay" he said with a shaky exhale as they reached the Big House. "Okay, I can do this"
