A/N : Takes place post book 2, pre book 3

Thalia was being taken care of by the healers of the Apollo cabin. Chiron was frantically talking with Dionysus about what to do with her. Presumably, she would stay at camp, but they needed to make the necessary preparations to the Zeus cabin in order for that to work. Grover just... Seemed sad.

Despite the camp having been healed, a sheet of melancholy still lied over the place once Thalia returned.

Annabeth spent less and less time in Athena's cabin. Everyone there just acted kinda weird around her after Thalia returned. After all, she had been one of the only people at the camp to actually know Thalia before her tragic death. She couldn't stand their pity, so she spent most of her down time with Percy in Poseidon's cabin.

"I still can't believe it" the blonde said solemnly as she sat down next to Percy on his bed. She had just come back from checking on Thalia, who was unconscious but healing. Percy cautiously reached out and held onto her hand, which she silently appreciated. "I spent so much time mourning her death and now she's... Alive"

"Been there" Percy said with a small, empathetic smile. While that wasn't entirely accurate since his mother and Tyson had never actually died, he was led to believe they had, he grieved their deaths, and then they came back.

"I'm... I don't..." Annabeth stumbled over her words (something which was rare for her) as she tried to describe how the situation made her feel. It didn't help that she wasn't sure how to feel about it. On the one hand, of course she was excited to have her friend back! On the other hand, the implications and possibilities stemming from this scared her.

Kronos had another chance now.

"Are you gonna be okay?" Percy asked gently, smoothing his thumb over her shoulder repeatedly in an attempt to comfort her. "I'll be fine" Annabeth reassured with a small smile. "I think I'm just... Processing"

"I get it" Percy replied. "It's a lot. I'm here for you, okay?"

"Okay... Thanks, Percy"
