You have been at Castle Dimitrescu for nearly a week now. Lady Dimitrescu has taken good care of you, just as she promised. You're just about fully healed. All your wounds have closed and began to fade - besides the bruises on your neck. They are fading, but are still very prominent. Lady Dimitrescu assures you every day that they will be gone soon, revealing the fresh beautiful skin of your neck. You've had the pleasure of staying with the Lady of Castle Dimitrescu in her personal bedchambers. She's often only there at night, but is sure to come and check on you during the day. Her company is welcoming and peaceful. You've grown to enjoy it very much. You've noticed that she has grown fond of you as well.
Today, Lady Dimitrescu if finally taking you to tour the castle. You have been so eager to see what lies within the rest of the castle walls. She tells you that it is nothing special, but you fail to believe her silly statement. What you have seen so far is absolutely incredible. Although, you have spent most of your time in the library or in the Mistresses chambers - so you haven't seen very much. Nonetheless, you are ecstatic to go on a little adventure through the castle halls. Especially since you'll be with Lady Dimitrescu.
Your Lady had an important meeting this morning, but she promised you as soon as she got back, the two of you would wander the halls of the castle. She also told you that she has something important to ask you. You cant put a finger on exactly what that might be, but she assured you it was nothing to worry about. As you waited, you paged through old books in the library. The Mistress had a surprisingly wonderful collection. She gave you permission to read any book you like. This made you indescribably happy. You always loved to read. Reading is your source of escape from reality. It is so easy for you to get lost in the words and fade into the world of the stories you read, seemingly forgetting that you exist in this one.
Your disappearance into the story was interrupted by someone entering the library.
"Ah, Y/N, I knew I would find you here." A familiar sweet voice rang through the surrounding book shelves. It was your Mistress, greeting you with a chipper smile.
"Hello, My Lady." You return a warm smile, happy she has returned.
"I see you have found yourself a new book. I am glad you are taking advantage of your access to one of the largest literature collections in the country. My girls don't care to read like you or I. They find it boring. They much prefer toying with intruders or testing the patience of the Lycans who guard the castle grounds."
"I have always enjoyed reading, My Lady. It was something that my mother and I did often." Your smile fades, remembering your mother.
"Well, I adore your devotion to an activity that holds such fond memories." Her tender smile brings yours back. She was good at cheering you up, even with the simple expression of a smile. You adore her smile. It's captivating and sweet. It never fails to release butterflies into your stomach each and every time you see it.
"Are you ready for your tour?"
"Yes, My Lady!" You cant hold back your excitement. You have been waiting patiently to explore the castle.
Lady Dimitrescu fills the room with her boisterous laughter. She's amazed at your excitement. "Someone is excited I see."
She grabs the book from your hands, slides a pin from her hair, and marks your page. After setting the book down on the table in front of you, she holds her hand out, welcoming you to hold it.
"Let's be on our way."
You stand and grab her hand. Her hands are much larger than yours, but you don't mind. It's a kind gesture to hold you as she shows you her home. You smile up at her, giving her a sign that you are ready to explore.
