***Diary Entry of Alcina Dimitrescu***
Donna has recently informed me that Mother Miranda's research has lead to some particularly interesting discoveries. Mother Miranda seems to think that the child has another living relative besides Ethan Winters; just as I had suspected. I can't help but think that Y/N's worry of her relation to the child is valid. If this is true, and Y/N is related to the child; Y/N could not only be successful host for Eva, but a valuable weapon in Mother Miranda's war against mankind. Eva already possessed great power. If Y/N is a part of the same mutant bloodline as the child, Mother Miranda would surely use that to her advantage.
Mother Miranda has made is clear to me that she intends to use Y/N as a host if the child fails. If she's discovered a relation to the child, I fear my love may be in danger. Of course, Y/N has no idea if this. I intend to keep it that way as long as possible. The girl has a tendency to let her mind wander to the worst possibilities. I don't wish to cause her any distress if I don't have to.
Needless to say, I'm on high alert. Mother Miranda has a way of taking what she wants, when she wants. She's unpredictable. Although my loyalty lies with Mother Miranda, my heart belongs to Y/N. I fear I'd be incapable of choosing between the two if the time ever came. If that makes me a monster, so be it. They've both given me life in different forms. How does one choose between the woman who gave you life, and the woman who makes it worth living. Hopefully, I'll never have to find out.
There has been no sign of Ethan Winters at my estate. However, Moreau had spotted him near Mother Miranda's church. The lycans managed to chase him off. I presume it's only a matter of time before he makes an appearance in attempt to collect his daughter. If that man-thing steps foot on my property, I'll be sure his feet never step anywhere again.
Aside from my endless anxiety, things around the castle have been quite content. The girls have been more manageable since they can finally step outside the castle walls. Their hunting skills have improved immensely. Y/N has been kind enough to introduce them to other hobbies as well. Daniela has grown fond of reading. Bela has picked up the skill of cooking. And Cassandra has shown an interest in learning how to paint. It's comforting to see them step outside their normal activities. They never fail to make their mother proud.
As for Y/N, she's made me quite proud as well. She's healing. Not just physically, but mentally as well. For the first time in months, I feel as though I'm seeing the full view of her genuine self. I've seen glimpses of it many times before, but seeing it as a whole changes ones perspective. She's unlike any human I've ever met before. I can't put it into words, but she's special. For many reasons. At first, I though it was just her blood. I've come to find that she holds many peculiarities that make her marvelously unique.
I feel as though this version of myself that is coming to light is the happiest version of myself that I've witnessed in decades. Life seems simpler, more content. I know my fate seems to attract chaos and violence, but it's moments like these that make me feel humane. I can't help but think that I have my daughter's and my sweet darling to thank for this. There's no doubt in my mind that life without them would shatter me. I hope our future is endless. Without them, I fear I would lose myself and everything good thing this life has to offer.
"Draga mea, how would you like to go on a trip? Just the two of us."
Alcina pulls her attention away from her diary, now directing her attention to you. You look up from your book, meeting her hopeful gaze. A sweet smile curls onto her lips as she removes her glasses and snaps her diary shut.
"I have a vineyard outside the village, off in the valley on the other side of the mountain." Alcina begins. "Every year, I journey out there for a moment of peace. It's nice to get away from the castle at times. I'd like for you to join me."
