"No. No. No!" Alcina tries to shake you awake, but it doesn't work. "Y/N, please!"
Hurried footsteps approach you and Alcina. Donna, Angie, and the three sisters run down the hall towards you. When they get close enough to see the mess spread across the floor, they stop in their tracks. Alcina doesn't acknowledge them at first. She holds you in her arms, urgently trying to bring you back to her.
"Mother! What happened!?" Bela's tone is filled with worry. "Who is that man? Is Y/N alright?"
Bela's footsteps splash in the puddles of blood, porcelain cracking beneath her boots. She stands above Alcina who is holding your body close to her. Frustrated and scared tears falling down to you.
"Mother..." Bela whispers.
"How did this happen!?" Alcina bursts. "How did that man-thing get into the castle!?"
"I- I don't know." Bela stutters, taking a step back.
"He nearly killed her!" Alcina barks, more tears falling from her eyes.
"Did she... do that?" Daniela chimes in, pointing to the mutilated corpse of your father.
"Yes." Alcina sighs, standing. Your body dangles in her arms. "The cure must not have completed it's elimination of the parasite. Somehow, it clawed it's way to the surface. I saw it in her as she plunged that blade into his skull. As soon as his blood began to spill, she snapped out of it. Her body reverting to it's weakened state."
"Is she alright?" Cassandra asks quietly.
"I hope so." Alcina looks down at you. You're breathing is slow and shallow. "Mother Miranda assured me that she would soon return to herself. I think the creature emerged for the last time, just to save her life."
"What can we do to help?" Donna asks.
Alcina glances at her. Donna's face floods with guilt as Alcina makes eye contact with her. Alcina sighs at her sister's reaction.
"Please call Mother Miranda and inform her of what happened. See if she has any medical supplies we can use. If she does, collect them and bring them to me." Alcina requests. Donna silently nods then heads to Alcina's study to call Mother Miranda.
"Bela, Cassandra, Daniela." Alcina looks at her daughters. "Please dispose of that man-thing. I don't care how you do it, just get him out of my sight. Have the maids mop up his mess once you're done."
"Yes, Mother." They say in unison.
As the girls make their way over to the bloody murder scene, the lycan approached Alcina. It's head gently nuzzles yours. It lets out a little whine, concerned that you're unresponsive.
"She'll be okay." Alcina tells the lycan. "You did well."
Alcina gestures for the lycan to follow her as she makes her way to her bedchamber. It turns to the rest of the lycans and signals for them to leave with a firm snarl. They file out of the castle and into the night, returning to their posts at the peaks of the castles towers. The lycan slowly trots behind Alcina, keeping it's eyes fixed on your swaying body. Arriving at her chambers, the lycan pushes open the door. Alcina enters and the lycan follows.
Alcina enters your room. It's been some time since you've been in here. Alcina has allowed you to sleep with her in her own bed since you returned. The lycan pulls back the covers so Alcina can rest your body onto it's surface. She sets you down gently, then goes to collect some supplies to clean your wounds.
When she returns, she sets a bowl of warm water, a cloth, and some medical supplies on your nightstand. She then grabs one of your nightgowns from your wardrobe and hangs it on the frame of your bed. She sits beside you, beginning to remove your bloodied clothing. The lycan curls up on the floor beside your bed, watching closely as Alcina tends to you. Once your clothing is removed, she wets the cloth and lightly presses it on the gash across your chest. She almost expects you to wince at the pain, but you remain limp - still unconscious.
