Time passes by slowly. You and Alcina remained in her bedchamber, watching days shift to nights outside of the window. Occasionally, Alcina left you so she could patrol the castle. While she was away, Your lycan stuck close to your side in attempt to ease your worry. In this moment, he lays with you in bed. You've claimed Alcina's spot, savoring the lingering smell of her jasmine perfume on its fabric. You lay on your side, watching out the window and petting devil dogs head that rests on your waist. Alcina has been gone for hours. The blue sky has began to fade, revealing a painted canvas of vibrant colors. The remaining golden rays of the sun peeks behind towering trees. Although the view is peaceful, your heart beats with worry. Alcina should have been back by now. Sensing your growing anxiety, your lycan nuzzles further into you. He compresses you beneath his heavy weight, easing the nerves in your body.
Just as you begin to relax, a knock sounds on the bedchamber door. Your lycan lifts his head from your body, swiftly adjusting his attention to the door. Another knock echoes against the door. You sit up, staring down the door knob as it begins to turn. Your lycan stands, body slinking to the floor. A low snarl rumbles from his throat as the door slowly opens. Your lycan sneaks forward, slowly approaching whoever resides beyond the doorway. As the door pushes completely open, he burst forward with a growl. A sharp blade slices through the air, landing against your lycans rumbling throat. He stops his body, halting in his place.
"For mothers sake, Y/N. Control your mutt, would you?" Bela groans from in front of your lycan.
You remove yourself from the bed, making your way over to Bela and the lycan. You grab his fur, pulling him down to sit. Bela steps around him, entering the room and placing her sickle back at her waist.
"You scared the hell out of us, Bela." You sigh.
"Good. That means I still got it." She snickers to herself.
"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be patrolling the halls?" You ask her, confused by her presence.
"Mother asked me to come check on you." Bela exclaims, turning to you.
"Where is she?" You ask. "She's been gone for hours. I was getting worried."
"She's speaking with Heisenberg. You know how a conversation between the two of them goes." Bela rolls her eyes. "The idiot can't keep his mouth shut and Mother doesn't tolerate his ignorance. What could be a quick conversation turns to endless bickering."
"I see." You sigh.
Bela places herself in the chair next to the fire, crossing her legs and throwing them over the arm. She pulls her hood from her head. Her bloody blond hair falls to her back. She looks at you, propping her chin up with her hand and bouncing her foot in the air.
"Whatcha been up to, mommy number two?" Bela snickers.
"God. Don't call me that." You scoff.
"Well you're no longer our servant, so what should I call you?" Bela asks with a joking grin.
"Why don't you try using my name." You tell her, pulling up Alcina's vanity chair next to the fire.
"That's boring." Bela huffs. "You need a catchy nickname."
"No, Bela. I really don't." You sit down, your lycan joining you at your feet.
"Alright, Alright." Bela rolls her eyes, adjusting herself to sit normally in the chair. "But seriously, what the hell do you do in here all day?"
"Nothing really." You exclaim.
"Oh come on." Bela sits forward. "Spill the dirty details. I know you and Mother have been taking advantage of the alone time." Her lips curl into a teasing grin.
