Alcina resides in her chamber, awaiting her daughters return. She sits in her chair, eyes focused on the dancing flames of the crackling fire. Her anger and worry burn in her chest, just as the searing flames scorch the the stones of the fireplace. The day has passed slowly, leaving Alcina to boil in her ever-changing emotions.
In attempt to ease her nerves, she sips on a cup of tea infused with the finest selection of blood she's collected. Yours. When Bela had drained your blood, Alcina has instructed her to collect it. Alcina stored it deep within the wine cellar where nobody but her could find it. To her, it's a delicacy. Although she much prefers to sip it from your flesh, your absence has forced her to resort to less satisfying measures.
She raises the cup to her lips, pulling the delectable fusion of herbs and iron into her mouth. She closes her eyes, savoring the lingering flavors. For a moment, Alcina feels ease wash over her. However, a loud knock on her chamber door interrupts her comfort. Alcina removes the rim of her cup from her lips. Her scarlet lipstick smudges the delicate porcelain. She releases an annoyed sigh.
"Come in." She calls out in a flat tone.
The door swings open, footsteps pacing into the room. Alcina remains focused on the fire, watching it's flames lick the stone it reaches up to. She patiently sits, waiting for an explanation of why her evening was intruded upon.
"Mother." Bela utters as she steps into the room. "We bring you fresh prey."
Hearing her daughter speak causes a knowing grin to curl on Alcina's lips. Her daughters wouldn't dare return empty handed.
"You're so kind to me daughters." Alcina coos.
She lifts her cup to her lips once more, taking the last sip of tea and allowing it to slip down her throat. She lets out a pleased hum and sets her cup on the table beside her.
"Ahh, now, let's take a look at him."
Alcina lifts her resting body from the chair. She poises herself as she turns to face her daughters. Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela join their mother at her side. Ethan Winters is splayed on the floor, bound and gagged with bloody cloth. He's a pitiful sight. The daughters giggle as they glare at him. Seeing the scared look on Ethan's face, Alcina grins.
"Well, well. Ethan Winters." She coos in a taunting tone as she takes a step towards him. "Well done finding him, daughters."
"Thank you, Mother." They chime in unison.
Ethan squirms on the floor as Alcina takes another step towards him. Her massive body looms over him, making him appear like nothing more than a puny ant about to be squashed below her suede heel. Alcina chuckles as he tries to scoot away. Devil dog snarls behind him, causing him to freeze in his place as he realizes he's completely surrounded by creatures who have the insatiable urge to kill him. Instead of moving away, Ethan struggles to free himself of his restraints, rising into his knees in the process.
"If only your whits matched your looks." Daniela sarcasticly teases.
"There's no escape, man-thing." Cassandra chimes.
"Although, we would enjoy the chase." Bela sneers.
"That will be enough, my darlings." Alcina raises a hand, silencing the sisters. "We wouldn't want to startle our guest, would we? After all, I do believe he owes us an explanation or two."
Ethan tries to speak, but the blood crusted cloth in his mouth only muffles his words.
"You'll have to repeat yourself, Winters." Alcina taunts. "I believe you're gagged like a corked pig. Quiet fitting, wouldn't you say?"
