***Focusing on Alcina Dimitrescu***
Alcina shuts the dungeon door behind her, leaving you alone once again. Her head hangs heavily as she rests her back against the cold metal door, keeping herself from falling to her knees. Tears flow onto her already damp face. She held it together the best she could in the dungeon - Even if her best wasn't enough to hold back a sliver of the sadness within her. But now, everything escaped her.
"Mother?" It was Daniela. "What are you doing? Are you okay?"
"Daniela." Alcina jumped at the sudden sound of her daughters voice. "Yes, dear, I'm alright."
Alcina quickly poised herself as Danila made her way over. Her efforts weren't enough to hide the obvious. She's hurting, she's frustrated, and she's scared. Daniela could see the pain in her mother's eyes.
"Mother, you're not alright." Daniela says. "I know you miss her, but her draining is almost over. She'll be back to you soon enough."
"Soon enough would mean she never got locked away in the first place." Alcina sighed. "But, I suppose that's my own fault.
Daniela rests a hand on her mother's arm. A gesture of comfort.
"You didn't have a choice. It was either send her to the dungeon, or let Mother Miranda take her. Truthfully, you chose the lesser of two evils." Daniela's words ease a bit of worry.
"I know. I just hope that Y/N can forgive me. Some day." Alcina says, still scared that you hold a resentment towards her for her actions.
"Mother, I can guarantee Y/N will forgive you. Have you seen the way that girl looks at you? She absolutely adores you. It may take some time, but she'll get over it." Daniela flashes her mother a calm smile, trying to assure her that she knows what she's saying is true.
"Thank you, dear." Alcina clears her throat and releases her body from the door. "Now, shouldn't you be in bed? It's awfully late to be heading to the dungeon."
Daniela giggles. "Look who's talking."
Alcina smiles, joining in on the laughter. She removes a glove from her hand and playfully slaps Daniela with it. "Off to bed, young lady!"
"Yes, My Lady." Daniela giggles as she heads to her room.
Alcina heads to bed as well. Her body is tired, and so is her mind. As she strolls to her bedchamber, she passes the door to the gallery. She notices the door is slightly cracked. Curiosity peeked, she slowly pushes the door open. The room is dark, but her keen eyesight adjusts quickly. Noticing that the room is empty, she sighs with relief. She grabs a candle from the hall, entering the room.
This is where you spent your time, painting to your heart's content. Alcina strolled through the gallery. She noticed you had started to hang your artwork on one of the blank walls. She lifts she candle up, illuminating each painting one by one as she admired them. Alcina always thought your talent extraordinary, despite what few creations she had seen.
Alcina's smile slowly grows as she sees all of your little masterpieces. Glancing at the next piece, she stops. Her smile fades as her lips part in awe, recognizing the work in front of her.
It's a painting of Castle Dimitrescu. Mountains rise in the background, snow falling against their peeks. Tall pines rise from either side. Their branches dusted with white flakes of freezing snow. At the center of the painting is you and Alcina, walking hand in hand toward the castle.
"Oh, my sweet girl." Alcina hums to herself.
Alcina lifts the painting off it's hook. She holds in gently in her hand as she sits on the velvet lounge chair. She sets the candle on the table next to her. Holding the painting, her fingers trace your brush strokes. Following their ever-changing directions. She stops when her fingertips reach the image of the two of you. You're looking up at her adoringly, radiant smile spread across your face. Alcina is looking down at you with love and admiration. She notices a little scribble of writing on the lower right corner. It's the title of your painting.
