bonus chapter: halloween
summary: Ruby and Monica celebrate their very first Halloween with their friends at the Salvatore school.

Ruby adjusted the red and black two toned wig that sat on her head, one last time before she reached out to knock on the door to Hope's dorm. "Come in." Hope hummed, as she had been expecting Ruby. The werewolf entered the dorm and closed the door behind her, before she looks over at Hope.
The tribrid looked at Ruby through the full length mirror she was using, to put on a necklace to complete her Poison Ivy costume, to match with Ruby as Harley Quinn.
The Mikealson's lipped twitch up into a smile, as Ruby smiles back. "I love your outfit, Ms Quinn." The tribrid spoke playfully, as Ruby approached her. "Why thank you, Ms Isley. You look hot."
Hope looked into Ruby's brown eyes, before she leaned forward to gently kiss her. Ruby's eyes fluttered closed and she moved to place her arms around Hope's neck as she kissed her back. They continued to kiss, getting lost in the moment but were suddenly interjected as the dorm door swun open, causing the girlfriends to jolt apart.
"Guys! Look at my pumpkin!"
Ruby and Hope deadpanned Monica, who stood in the doorway. The tall blonde wore a Spider-Man costume, to match with Lizzie who was dressed at Spider-Gwen. In her hands was a large orange pumpkin, with an evil smile carved into it.
"That's cool, Mon." Ruby giggled, although Hope continued to deadpan the Montgomery. "Oh— did I interrupt something?" The vampire then asked, before she smirked. "Yeah." The couple both answered in response.
"You guys are missing out on all of the fun. Lizzie, Josie, Jordan and I took the younger kids trick or treating. They're going to bed now and we're going to make a campfire and tell scary stories." Monica explained, as she seemed really eager to continue the Halloween celebrations.
Hope shrugged, "I didn't pick you as somebody that would enjoy Halloween." She genuinely admitted. The vampire responded, "I didn't celebrate it as a kid, my home life was too fucked up for any sort of normalcy like that." Monica spoke so casually. Ruby chuckled awkwardly, "Amen, sister." She agreed with her best friend, as her previous foster parents were never really interested in Halloween.
"Well, get your horny asses by the fire, stat." The queen bee demanded before she span on her heels and walked away. Ruby and Hope give eachother a knowing look, before they took eachother's hands and began to leave Hope's dorm.
