*Anirudh's POV
We moved outside slowly. Bondita stepped near Kaka but he showed his hand to her. She moved towards Baba but he turned his head away. I could see Bondita tear up. Kaka said," Beta, tumne hamse itni badi baat chupayi, tum barristery ki padhai kar rahi ho." Bondita stuttered to say something. Kaka and Baba didn't wanted Bondita to study?? I can't believe that they have such a mentality. Baba said sternly," Kya hamara yeh janna zaruri nhi tha ki hamari ghar ki beti sirf lakshmi hi nhi saraswati bhi hai?" We both were baffled for a moment. Kaka said," Jo Roy Choudhury mahilao ki padhai likhai ke liye itna kar rahe hai, woh apni ghar ki hi beti ko padhne se rokenge. Ab hamne apni chavi hai esi banai hai ki bachhe hum par vishwaas nhi karte hai." He said with slight tears. Baba said to Som and Batuk," Som Batuk, tumne bhi kuch chipaya ho toh bata do." I could see Bondita tearing up. She went and hugged Baba and Kaka. They first hesitated and then patted her head.

Kaka said, his voice heavy," Iss tarah se tum hame mana nhi sakti ho, galat tareeka hai yeh, tum toh jaanti ho ki hum tumse gussa nhi reh sakte." Baba nodded in approval. Bondita chuckled while crying. They asked," Anirudh, tumhe pata tha na iske baare mai?" I nodded and they glared at me. They asked Bondita," Tumne kyu chupaya ki tum Barristery ki padhai kar rahi ho?" At that moment we heard something falling. Their stood Sumati Maa, her own eyes filled with tears. She came towards us. She shaked Bondita and said," Bondita kya yeh sach hai?" Bondita nodded and Sumati Maa stepped back, she looked dejected. Bondita stepped towards her but she stepped back again showing a hand to Bondita.

I stepped in seeing Bondita breaking down," Maa, aap ek baar sun toh lijiye Bondita ne esa kyu kiya" . She said looking towards me," Ab bacha hi kya hai sunne ke liye, ab meri iklauti beti hi mujhse baatein chupa rahi hai. Kya karu mai? Aapko pata tha na iske baare mai, aapne bhi nhi bataya. Aapko zaruri nhi laga mujhe batana." I said again," Maa, ek baar sun toh lijiye hamara karan, mai ashwasan deta hu, ek baar aap karan sun le, yadi aapko esa lagta hai ki hamari koi bhul hai toh aap hame saza de sakti hai."

She nodded and Bondita said, "Maa, jab hum Calcutta se wapis aaye the tab maine Calcutta Law University mai apply kiya tha, baba ka sapna tha ki mai bhi padh likh kar kuch karu. Jab hum yaha aaye toh unka letter aaya ki unhone admission ke liye haa kardi hai, woh mujhe full paid scholarship aur daily expenses wali scholarship dene ke liye bhi taiyaar the. Unhone yeh anumati bhi di hai, ki mai Tulsipur se padhkar sirf Calcutta exam dene ke liye jaau. Pehle mai mana karna chahti thi, kyuki na hi mere paas koi achha shikshak tha aur yadi yeh baat Thakumaa, Ya mama mami ko pata chal jaati toh woh mera vivaah karwa dete. Par fir Pati Babu ne mera hosla badhaya. Unhone mujhe padhaya. Jab tak mai aapko batati aap Thakumaa ke ghar chali gai thi, fir mera janmdin, hamari shadi, Saudamini ke khel, fir Bombay trip, gruh udyog ka kaam, sab bich mai aa gaya. Aur isi karan batane ka samay nhi mila. Aur aap ko na batane ka keval yahi karan tha ki mujhe laga tha ki yadi aapse thakuma ya mama mami ko pata chalega toh meri shadi ho jayegi."

We looked at the elders expectantly. Baba and Kaka nodded. Bondita went to her mother and said," Maa tu mujhe maaf nhi karegi?" Sumati maa didn't say anything. To which Baba said," Sumati Boudi ab mai aapko esi baat bataunga jisse aap Bondita ko chutki mai maaf kar dengi. Aapki Bondita exam mai apni kaksha mai pehli aayi hai." We saw smile form on Sumati Maa's face. She hugged Bondita out of excitement. She forgave her and Kaka ordered Bihari to bring sweets and tell the whole village about Bondita's victory.

We all were sitting and having sweets when Som said," Par Kaka, ab Bondita boudi ko Calcutta bulaya hai padhne ke liye. Ab hum kya karenge?" To which Baba said," Bondita ko bhejenge hum Calcutta." Kaka shouted in between," Ghar ki Beti akeli kahi nhi jaegi, humne ek baar keh diya bas." Sumati maa supported Kaka. I saw Bondita's face fell. Baba said in between," Ha, akeli nhi jaa sakti, par apne pati ke saath toh jaa sakti hai na. Bohot dino se mai soch raha tha ki Anirudh ko kuch samay ke liye Calcutta bheju. Mai chahta hu ki woh waha ke bade cases ki practice kare. Tulsipur mai log jyada court kachahri nhi jaate. Ab Bondita ka bhi kaam hai, toh mujhe sahi lagta hai unka jaana." I gave my approval happily. I can do anything to make Bondita Barrister Babu. I saw Bondita getting happy. Baba told that we can stay at the small home that we have in Calcutta. It's a 2 bhk flat which is enough for me and Bondita. We decided to move Calcutta a week later, until then we could do the setting up process.

*Bondita's POV
After discussing everything with elders, Baba talked with one of his friends. He talked with them to get the cleaning and furniture done. We just had to move our essentials over there. I moved back to my room. I was checking out the letter from the University. They had sent my result along with it. My eyes filled with tears looking at my result. Finally my Baba's dream was coming true. I felt thankful of Pati Babu, if he wouldn't have been there I would have left my dream long back.

I didn't realise I was crying until I was swept off from floor. Pati Babu picked me up in his arms. He twirled me around and I squealed. I tried to stop him but he didn't. Finally he felt dizzy and he stopped. I clutched his shirt to calm myself down. He kept me down and leaned on the table to stable himself. As we both were normal, we looked towards each other grinning and hugged tightly squealing like girls. After seperating we jumped here and there clapping our hands. Finally we stopped and gazed in each other's eyes. We both hugged each other again. I nuzzled my face in his chest and he patted my head.

As he patted my head, the familiarity and warmth flooded my heart and I started crying. He did let me cry. He didn't stop me. I cried my heart out. As I seperated, he took me to bed. He made me sit and gave me water. He sat beside me and held my hand. Tears were still coming out of my eyes. He asked me," What are these tears for?". I was barely able to say anything. I said in a breaking voice," Baba, ke.... Janne ke baad... Rona chod....diya tha maine.... Akeli pad gayi thi mai.... Itne samay ka bhara hai.... Aaj nhi rukenge aansu... Rone dijiye..." Saying this, I laid in his lap and cried hugging his torso. He massaged his fingertips in my scalp. I relaxed and didn't know when the sleep overtook me.

A family like Roy Choudhury ❤️❤️❤️
