Week By Week

Rachel's POV
Another week passes and I'm finally going to Bayou. I can't wait. I'm really exited. For that and for getting my driver's license. Finally. I've been studying really hard and my teacher says that I'm a very good driver. Well we're going to leave soon.

We arrive at the Bayou.

Irene:Hey Rachel wanna sit by the lake?

Rachel:No thank you.

Irene:But you loved the lake.

Rachel :Well not anymore. I just wanna explore.

Irene:Ok.

I won't get close to the water when I'm with my family. Cause as soon as I touch it, ten seconds later I grow a tail.

Rachel:Mom, we're going for a walk.

Katnice :Ok but not too far.

Me and Irene walk for a bit.

Irene:Wow. This place has changed. I didn't remember it like this.

Rachel:Me neither.

We turn several times and after a while we realize that we are lost.

Rachel:How can we be getting lost all the time?

Irene:I don't know. It might me our thing. Let's keep walking we might find the road.

We keep walking.

Rachel :Wow. It darkens really fast today.

Irene:No it doesn't. We are just under the trees that hide the sun.

Rachel :Oh right. The trees.

We are walking and walking. For some reason I am walking faster than Irene. My mind tells me that I should go that way and fast.

Rachel:We should go that way.

I say that and point a dark forest. I turn around to see Irene but there is no one there.

Rachel:Irene?

I turn my head to look at the dark forest again. I pass the river that is separating me from the forest. I walk deeper and deeper. I find myself at a prairie filled with lavender. Suddenly I hear something. I turn around and see a shadow.

Rachel:Who's there?

The shadow moves. I grab a rock from the ground quickly. I feel it's breath behind me. I turn around ready to attack but his hand grabs mine and i drop the rock.

Rachel:Let me go!

??? :Hey hey hey. Easy. I won't bite.

He lets me go.

??? :I see you haven't changed at all. In looks and behavior. You're the same bossy girl I met that day.

I look at him with a confused look. Then I remember.

Rachel :Damien?

Damien:Yep that's me.

Rachel:Oh my God. You haven't changed at all either.

Damien:But still you didn't remember me.

Rachel:Sorry. I've met plenty of people in my life and I never remember their faces.

He laughs.

Damien:So why didn't you ever come back after that day we met?

Rachel:I don't know. My mom said that we had other things to do. More important ones.

Damien:And again I meet you in the same place like the first time.

Rachel:Yeah.. I got lost. Again. I lost my friend. She's probably already back. I have to return too, but you know. Lost.

We both laugh.

Damien:Come I'll show you the way.

Rachel:Thanks.

We are walking and talking. I am telling him about my life. Accidentally I hit him on the nose. He shows me the way and when I arrive no one is here.

Rachel:I guess everyone is looking for me. How didn't we meet with anyone while we were getting back?

Damien:We took another way I know.

Rachel:Huh.

Katnice:Rachel?

I turn around and look at my mother.

Katnice :Oh thank God you're safe. I was so worried.

She hugs me.

Rachel:Cmon mom. I get lost all the time. Even when I was seven I got lost and I was ok. I'm getting used to it.

Katnice :Who are you?

Rachel:He's name is Damien Castle.

Katnice :Castle?

Damien:Em.. Yeah.

My mom takes out her phone and calls Klaus. After a while all of them are here. After everyone hugs me they turn to question Damien. He is feeling awkward and I save him.

Rachel:Okay. Now everyone stop talking and return to your jobs. Damien didn't do anything wrong to attack him like hawks.

They leave and I turn to Damien.

Rachel :Sorry about that. They're just a little overprotective about family.

Damien :It's ok. Now I should better go.

Rachel:Ok. See ya next week.

Damien :Promise?

Rachel:Yeah.
