Drowning

Rachel's POV
I open my eyes and I look around. I'm in my room. My head hurts so are my eyes. I try to get up but I feel like someone is punching me on the head. So I lay back down. The door opens and Davina walks in.

Davina: Hey Rachel

Rachel: What.

Davina: Cmon don't be like that. Let me talk to you and then you'll say whatever you want.

Rachel: I already said what I wanted to say. Now it's up to you if you'll make things up.

Davina: Listen. On your eighteenth birthday the spell will break and the power will be free. After that you'll have to be careful. You won't be able to use magic. You might not be able to control it and end up dead. The magic can kill you. It will be like drowning in your own powers.

Rachel: Hang on hang on. You mean that I have only 6 days to prepare?

Davina: Actually we wanted to tell you sooner but you were unconscious for five days. So you have less than one day.

Rachel: What?

I sigh.

Rachel: Okay. Even if I wasn't unconscious. You were gonna say it to me a week before?! Are you crazy?!

Davina: We're sorry.

Rachel : Oh you're sorry. Everything is fine now. Are you kidding me?!

I get up but I almost fall and Davina catches me.

Rachel : Let me go!

I push her away from me.

Rachel: I'm tired of this. The lying. You didn't tell me about Lucien. You hid from me the time I died. And now. My power can kill me? Why did you block it in first place?

Davina: We wanted to -

Rachel : Protect me? Yeah. I've heard that before.

Davina: Please Rachel. Don't be like that. We are your family.

Rachel: No, I can't do that anymore. You say that you are my family but you have to prove it to me. But you don't. You keep making mistakes.

I move my head with denial.

Rachel : If you'll need me I'll be in the ocean.

I leave in a rush and start running to the Bayou. I jump in the water (this time touching the water) and I turn into a mermaid.

Rachel: Now it works huh?

I start swimming and in ten minutes I'm at Mako. I sit there for a while and then I hear someone coming inside.

Rachel: What do you want?

Damien: Look Rachel, I know that you're angry but you have to let it go. Yes they didn't manage to find you but they did look for you. You have to forgive them.

Rachel : They looked for me. Did they use a location spell?

Damien: Umm... I think yeah.

Rachel:If they had used a location spell they would have found me. And stop lying.

Damien: I'm not lying. I did look for you. They didn't help me with a location spell but I did try to find you. I searched everywhere.

Rachel: When you say everywhere?

Damien : Metaphoricly.

Rachel: Yeah metaphoricly. When you say everywhere I think you mean New Orleans and Mystic Falls.

Damien: And Beacon Hills.

Rachel: You're making it worst Damien and I'm straying to lose my patience.

Damien: Rachel I love you. I don't want anything to happen to you.

Rachel: Stop talking. Because whatever you say it's a lie.

Damien:You're gonna say that if I loved you I would have found you right?

Rachel: I'm so predictable huh?

Damien laughs but I keep staring at him with an angry look.

Rachel:Leave.

Damien: Cmon Rachel.

Rachel : I said leave now!

Damien : What is wrong with you?

Rachel: Too much. Too much is wrong with me. Now leave.

Damien: I'm not leaving.

Rachel: Fine.

I raise my hand and with my magic I lift Damien on the air. Then I throw him out of the volcano.

I return home and see everyone still in the living room.

Katnice : Why were you outside for that long?

Rachel:Because I didn't want to see your face.

I walk towards the stairs.

Katnice :Rachel don't do that

Rachel: Do what?

Katnice : Acting like that. You're not the Rachel I remember. The girl I raised.

Rachel: Well you're not the first one to tell me that.

Katnice : Your behavior is unacceptable.

Rachel : Come on punish us already. Good night. Actually... Bad night.

I walk up the stairs and I hear talking from the living room. Suddenly I feel a pain in my head and then I fall down the stairs.
Someone grabs me and places me on my bed. I open slightly my eyes and I see everyone rushing down and up the stairs. I have again a terrible headache.

Rachel :It hurts!

Freya:I know Rachel. It's the magic. You can pass through it. Be strong.

Rachel:You did this!

My eyes flash purple and I let a banshee scream. Everyone hold their ears while blood drips. Then I fall again on my bed still feeling something burning me from inside out.

Rebekah: Is it over?

Freya: No. It's now starting.
