Always and Forever [Book 3]

Attack

Thomas's POV
Suddenly something explodes in front of me. The helicopters shoot at the vehicles on the ground. The people grab weapons and try to fight back. Brenda and Jorge grab me and we all three hide behind a car.

Jorge:We got to go

Thomas:No

Brenda:What do you mean no?

Thomas :They're my team. I can't leave them. You can leave but I'm staying.

Jirge grabs Brenda so they can leave and I see that WCKD is winning. They've put all the people on their knees and with a machine they read the back of their necks. I see my friends there too. They are all there but me.

Janson:Where's Thomas?

Thomas:I'm here.

I appear with my hands up. They put me on the line. Janson from the Walkie-talkie speaks to someone.

Janson:Bring her.

We see an aircraft approaching. It lands and its back door opens. A woman appeares. Ava Paige.

Ava:Is that all of them?

Janson :They lost a few but they will be enough.

Ava:Load them in.

I see four guards escorting two people. Rachel and Teresa.

Ava:I'm glad you two are fine.

Ava puts the back of her fingers on Rachel's cheek.

Janson :Here Ms Paige.

Janson hands Rachel a jacket.

Frypan: What the?

Newt:What is going on?

Thomas:They work for WCKD. They always worked for WCKD.

Janson:Yeah, when their memories restored It was only a matter of time.

When someone grabs me I push him and I take out of my jacket a bomb that I hid before.

Thomas:Stay back!

Rachel :Thomas what are you doing?

Thomas:I said stay back.

Teresa :Don't fight it Thomas.

Rachel:If we get back to WCKD we will find a cure.

The other boys from our maze stand next to Thomas.

Thomas:We're not going back.

Suddenly a gunshot is heard and the guards try to cover Teresa, Rachel and Paige. The gunshot is coming from Jorge and Brenda. We all start running. Us four run behind a rock but Minho is shot on the back with electricity. He falls on the ground and some guards pick him up.

Thomas:Minho!

They put him in the aircraft and I can see in it the two girls that I trusted. Between them is Ava Paige. Then the door of the aircraft closes and it takes off.

Next morning

We are trying to organise again after WCKD attacked and I pick up a bag and put it on my shoulder.

Newt:Where are you going?

Thomas :I'm going to find Minho and save him.

Newt :Look Thomas. I know Minho. We are like brothers. I want to save him too but what you're talking about is impossible.

Frypan:It's a suicide man.

Thomas:I don't care. I'm sick of WCKD 's plans and I'm gonna stop them.

Newt:How are you going to do that?

Thomas :By killing Ava Paige and her bloodline.

Newt :You mean you'll kill Rachel too?

Thomas :If I have to...then yes. I'll kill her too.
