Nothing Lasts Forever (Part 1)

Rachel's POV
The past few days passed very fast. We haven't heard anything from Lucien and that makes us worried. We still try to think of a way to give him my blood but nothing. Now I sit in my room drawing. Damien walks in.

Damien:What are you doing?

Rachel: I draw.

Damien: What?

Rachel: I don't know, it's... Something.

I look at my drawing. It's nothing else but some mixed lines on a paper.

Rachel:Let's call it art.

Damien:What does drawing help you with?

Rachel:Concentrate and relax. I know these two are a weird combination. But what can we do?

I smiled at him.

Damien:Come, let's go downstairs. Your family is calling a meeting.

Rachel:Another one? (I stood up) We've been having meetings every day. (I walk to the exit) We just gather to argue and propose solutions that will never work. Like the brilliant idea of Kol. (mimicking Kol) Hey, what if we move out of New Orleans so Lucien won't find us.

Now that we are walking down the stairs we are closer to the living room so they can hear us.

Kol:I heard that.

Rachel : (Again mimicking Kol) Never cared less.

Klaus (Asking me) :So why did you call us to meet here?

Rachel :I didn't call you.

Katnice :I thought Rebekah called us.

Damien:I thought you called us.

Katnice :I didn't

Rebekah:Me neither.

Kol:Then who called us?

Lucien :I did

We all turn and see Lucien standing on the front door.

Lucien: I thought, since you helped Rachel, to fight you and end you for good.

Klaus :Not if I end you first.

Lucien:Try. You won't succeed. My bite can kill you. If you attack me I'll bite you and you'll die. Rachel. You have one last chance. Join me and I'll let your family live.

I look at them.

Rachel:I'd rather die fighting you than betray my family.

Lucien:As you wish.

His eyes turn red with veins under them.



The vampire members of my family turn their eyes black with veins. I look at them not knowing what to do. We are not ready to fight Lucien. My aunts with their magic throw him stuff. I cast a spell too and throw him against the wall. The vampire fight starts. Lucien against Originals. I get shocked and hide behind a couch. Damien notices it and comes next to me.

Damien:Hey are you OK?

Rachel:I don't know what happened. I got scared and all I wanted to do was to hide. I don't usually act like this.

I am at a loss. I don't know what to do

Damien:I think you got used to hiding. Listen, Rachel. You can do this. I know you can. You are the greatest witch I know and I know you can kill him. Now let's get out there and kill that guy.

I look at him and I smile. I get up ready to fight Lucien. But what see when I get up shocks me. Lucien is winning. He already has bitten Klaus, Kol, Elijah and my parents. The only vampires left are Rebekah and Marcel. I see Freya unconsious on the floor and Davina next to Kol. Keeilin is next to Freya. Rebekah is next to Marcel but Marcel is a few feet in front of her protecting her. Marcel has the same power as Lucien. So they might be fighting all day. I have to act fast but I don't know what to do.

Damien: - chel. Rachel!

I look at Damien who is trying to bring me back to reality.

Damien:What do we do?

I see Marcel and Lucien fighting. Rebekah also helps. I can kill him. But how will I give him my blood. Then I remembered. I ran to the kitchen. I return with a knife in my hand. I see them, still fighting. Rebekah is now bitten too. I have to act very fast. Damien is now helping Marcel. Lucien throws Damien against the wall. My eyes become two slits. I can feel the cold handle of the knife. I can hear my heartbeat going too fast and the ozygen entering my lungs. I see Freya waking up. She sees me. I take a deep breath and I yell.

Rachel:Hey Lucien!

I don't know what happened next. Everything happened so fast. The knife cutting my palm, the blood dripping from my hand, Lucien's eyes red with veins appearing, a pain on my neck and then darkness.
