Nightmares

Rachel's POV
I am in a dark place. Thankfully this place isn't that dark. I can recognise some shadows. I think they are trees. I see a shadow walking towards me.

??? :Hey Rachel. What are you doing here?

Rachel:Hi, I think I'm lost. Can you help me?

??? :Of course.

Rachel:Do I know you from somewhere? Your voice sounds familiar.

??? :Rachel, don't you remember me? It's me,-..

I wake up on the hammock. It's dark. I look around and see the boys sleeping. I lay again on my bed. I close my eyes and go back to sleep.

I am on a road. I walk and I see a sign. I can recognise the miles but not the name. Where am I? I see a car coming towards me. It's lights make me cover my eyes. Suddenly the car turns right and it flips. I run towards the car so I can who's in there and to help them. I put my knees on the road.

Rachel:Hey are you ok?

A girl looks at me shocked. But I can recognise the girl. It's me. She looks towards another person. But I can see nothing but a shadow. She turns her face back to me and tries to get free. I look behind me and I see a shadow walking towards me. The girl looks back to the other girl.

Other Rachel:Please wake up.... Wake up! Ir-...

She almost says the name of the shadow next to her but my scream covers her voice. I turn around, put my back on the flipped car and start screaming.

Newt:Rachel wake up! Rachel!

I open my eyes and I look at Newt.

Newt:You were having a nightmare. And you were screaming. It's a miracle that you didn't wake up the others.

I look around. It's still night. All I wanna do is to wake up and do something else than sleeping. But my body disagrees. I am tired and everyone can see it in my eyes. The pale face, the half closed eyes. I look back at Newt.

Rachel:When does the sun go up?

Newt:Relax, you have time to sleep.

He walks away as I whisper.

Rachel:But I don't want to.

I put my head on my legs. I try my best to stay awake but my eyes are slowly closing.

Again, I'm in a dark place. I start getting angry with these dark places. Can't I see one time a clean landscape? I see shadows in front of me. Lots of them. They are talking to each other.

??? :I found my key.

??? :Ok you can leave.

Suddenly the one shadow disappears

??? :We don't have much time. We have to find our keys. Come Rachel, let's look over here.

I walk with one shadow in the darkness but I can see the shadow is walking with another shadow. The shadow is me.

Other Rachel:I know what your key is. It's the wolf. Like my necklace.

I look on my neck and I notice three necklaces hanging. The one has the letter M on it, the other one has a full moon and the third one has a handmade wolf.

??? :Are you sure this is my key?

Other Rachel:Yes. It must be.

The shadow takes the necklace.

Suddenly something happens. I change place and now I stand in a dark forest. I can recognise it since I can see the trees but still, shadows. I see again me with the shadow.

Other Rachel:You have to leave.

??? :No we have time. I'm not leaving you.

Other Rachel:You have too. The time is ending. Remember this. I'm gonna be okay. Because I'm a Mi-..

The other me smiles to the shadow.

??? :Okay, goodbye Rachel.

Other Rachel:Wait.

The other me walks to the shadow and then all I can see is darkness.

I change place and I find myself in the glade. But this time I'm standing in front of the opening. I look around me and i see the boys holding sticks and shields.

Alby :It's time!

The boys walk towards me pushing me in the maze.

Rachel:No! Please! Stop!

Suddenly everything becomes dark. I change place again and here I am back in the glade. I look at the maze door. This time I'm walking towards the opening myself. I walk inside and when I do i appear in a house. I look on a shelf and I see myself next to another person in a foto. But the other person is a shadow. Why can't I recognize one person? So the maze is our exit?
