The next thing I could imagine was myself, dancing! That's absurd!! I'd never dance. I'm terrible at that. After that, Mrs.Wilson continued with her criminology class. After the bell rang, I was the first one to head out of the class. I sat in the cafeteria seat for a while and then returned to my class. I was confused when Tristan was sitting in my place. When he saw me, he whispered something to Carla and returned to his seat. I sat beside her and said, "What was that?"
"Nothing, he just said we should hang out more often." she said. It was so obvious that she was lying, but I decided to leave it. Tristan could possibly have asked her to go with him to the charity event. Thank god!! I was so relieved. I tried my best to focus in class so that I could forget what was going on. After school, I waited for a long time so that Tristan could leave, and then I started walking. I spotted him ahead of me, with Carla. So they really are going to the charity event together. That's totally fine by me. I reached home and started watching The Originals. I just finished the eighth episode of season 3. It was about 5:45 when the bell rang. I went downstairs and opened the door. There was no one! I looked down and found a photo frame. Not just any frame, it was the selfie the four of us took after we returned from The Treacherous Waters. I took it in my hand and admired it when a figure appeared before me. I was scared and let out an "Ah!"
"Sorry! I didn't mean to scare you." he said.
"Tristan! What are you doing here?"
"I came to give you this." he said pointing to the photo frame.
"That's beautiful. Wait, are you repaying that 40 cents?"
"Probably,"
"I bet this frame costs 40 dollars."
"No, I made it. I bought just the materials for a dollar."
"Oh my god! That's so nice!! Sorry, come inside." I said, moving back so that he could come inside. My mind couldn't think of anything else to say. After he sat on the couch I said, "So, giving the frame is the only reason you came here?"
"Okay, um no. I actually came here to tell you something."
"And what's that?" 'I'm going to the charity event with Carla?' I completed it in my mind.
"I'm.. sorry."
"For what? Enough sorries. Anyways, do you like Doritos?"
"I love em."
"Great." I said and entered the kitchen. I desperately wanted to know what he was actually here for. Just then, I couldn't find the packet of chips. My phone rang.
"Kyra, um Katie, I think your sister's calling you."
"You can get that." I said. I wanted to make things as normal as possible between us. He put the call on speaker and said, "Hello?"
"Um who's this? Is Kyra there?" Katie asked.
"Uh yeah, I'm Tristan. Kyra's a bit busy."
"Finally! Kyra's told me a lot about you. I'm so happy I got to talk to you. What are you doing over there?"
"Um, I came to give her a photo frame."
"Aw, so sweet. Anyhow, can you ask Kyra to call me when she's free?"
"Yeah, sure. I can do that."
"Thank you! Bye!!"
"Bye" he said and hung up.
"Introduction with Katie's done, then." I said. Finally! I found the Doritos packet. I picked it up and walked to the living room. I stopped as I saw him. I realised I didn't even take a proper look at him. He sat on the cushion in a clumsy way. And he looked so good in his jeans. He was hot. He seemed to have noticed me staring at him because he stood up and walked towards me. He snapped his hand in front of my face and said, "Hello? I know I'm attractive."
