As Carla said, I spent that night and half of the next day (Sunday) watching 'The Originals' and I already loved it. I just completed the second season. Yep. If I start watching some series, I watch it really fast. I had to stop since I got a mail from school.

Dear students,

This was a sudden decision but, your class has been given the opportunity to examine and run forensics in a live crime scene. A tragic death took place today and that place has not been touched and is preserved for you.

These are the things that you should bring along with you.

1. Gloves

2. Tweezers

3. Magnifying Glass

4. Flashlight

5. Paper shoe covers

Other materials would be provided by the school. We request you to report 30 minutes earlier to school. Thank you.

Finally!!!! I've been waiting for a live crime scene investigation ever since school started!!! I am lucky enough that my class was selected for this!!! I immediately started preparing for tomorrow. I got everything but paper shoe covers. I called mom even though she said she'd call sometime later. When she picked up I said, "Hey mom! Sorry for disturbing you. Uh, they're conducting a live crime scene investigation tomorrow. And I need paper shoe covers for that."

"Yeah I know. I've been appointed for that case."

"Really? Tomorrow's gonna be so fun!! Um, so where can I get paper shoe covers?"

"Oh they sell forensic items at the blood donors'. Buy two pairs, just in case."

"Okay!!! Going straight away! Bye!!"

"Bye!" I grabbed my phone and purse and headed out. The blood donors' was just at the end of the alley. As I was walking, I saw Tristan walking in the same direction as me on the opposite side of the street. I acted as if I didn't see him and kept walking. But he seemed to have noticed me because he crossed the street. I looked down and kept walking. He stopped right where he crossed the street. I looked down and walked right past him. That's when he called out to me.

"Kyra! I thought you saw me." I turned around and said,

"Oh, hi Tristan! I didn't see you."

"Are you going to the donors' to buy paper shoe covers?" Of course he's coming too.

"Yeah." I was keeping the conversation short from my end.

"Mind if I join you?" he asked. I had to. It would be rude if I didn't.

"Sure." We started walking. There was just about 5 more minutes of walking and we'd be there, but it felt like eternity to me. I put both my hands into the pockets.

"You okay? You seem a little flustered." he asked.

"I'm fine."

"Uh, I actually wanted to talk to you. More like apologize."

"What for? There's nothing you need to apologize for." That's the biggest sentence I told him yet.

"For messing up the relationship between us."

"There's nothing between us." I understood how harsh that sounded as soon as it left my mouth.

"I understand if you don't... "

"No, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it like that. I meant there was nothing wrong between us. Sorry."

"Oh, okay. Good for me then." he said as he posed a cute smile and I blushed!!!

"Hmm.." I said and focused my gaze on the ground.

He sighed and said, "You say there's nothing wrong, but you know nothing's right too." I didn't reply to that because I know it's true. We reached the donors' and purchased the shoe covers. I paid for it and stepped out of the shop, waiting for Tristan. When he didn't come out for more than a minute, I went back inside. He was frantically going through each of his pockets.

"Did you forget your purse?" I asked.

"No, I had it right here." he said, digging his hand into the front left pocket. When it came out empty, I stepped up to the counter to pay the cash for him. Before I could, he said,

"No, I'm sure I can manage. You don't need to do that."

"How can you manage without your purse? You must have lost it on the way. Come on, it's 40 cents!"

He smiled and said, "Thank you." I gave the money and got the paper covers.

We left the donors' and started walking back home. When I went to cross the street, he said,

"Why are you crossing? Your house is this way."

"And your purse must have fallen that way."

"I can find it. Thanks for asking." Traffic was clear. I pulled his hand and literally dragged him across the street. When he stopped startling, he said, "You didn't have to do this."

"I want to. Come on now, eyes on the ground." We kept searching and we reached his house but his purse was nowhere to be found.

"Shit. Mom's gonna kill me." he said when we didn't find it.

"Hope she doesn't. Good luck with that."

"Uh, you should come inside."

"Oh, I have to go and you know, prepare everything for tomorrow."

"Yeah, okay. See you tomorrow, then."

"Yeah see ya tomorrow." I crossed the road and started walking home when I realised he might've dropped his purse on this side of the street when he crossed to see me. I turned towards the path to the donors' and started searching the pavement. And I found it. Right at the spot where he was waiting for me to notice him. It was already 6pm so I decided to give it to him at school tomorrow. I reached home and texted him.

Kyra: Hey! I found your purse! I'll give it to you at school tomorrow.

Tristan: Really? That's awesome. Thanks.

Kyra: No issues.

And I continued watching 'The Originals'.
