I wanted to show my victory to someone.

"Carla! Carla! Come over here!!" I whispered. When she came, I showed her the fingerprint I found.

"Whoa!! But, it's the fingerprint of the victim. It's very far from the victim and the pencil stand is free of dust, so our Bob must have used it constantly and touched it."

"Genius Carla! I should probably find another print then." I said and she giggled. The victim's body was finally free and I went to take a proper look at him. Ella Jones joined in with me. I was tempted to ask if she was like Ella Lopez but instead I asked, "What's the cause of death?"

"Hmm, let's see, shall we? No puncture wounds are to be visible, so that rules out any weapons and no signs of strangling. So, that leaves us with either poison or death due to overdose of pills. It can't be a natural death because higher forensic authorities that previously checked on him, say he was extremely healthy. What do you think, Ms.Samuel?" She was staring at my badge.

"Umm I think he was poisoned."

"Unfortunately no. Surveillance cameras have been checked and no one entered this house other than Bob himself and forensic reports state that he hasn't eaten anything for at least a day."

"But all of his veins are like, propped up. So, um, nervous disorders?"

"Could be, but there hasn't been a single death due to nervous disorders although we have seen these kinds of bodies across New Orleans." A few moments later, she raised her voice loud enough for everyone to hear her.

"Dear students, the cause of death remains unknown. But, we need as much detail as possible. So work hard!!"

Everybody chorused a "Yes Ms.Jones" and went back to their work. I too went back to the bookshelf and started dusting a book near to it. When I noticed Tristan, I moved a little closer and whispered, "I guess my mom and your dad are ruining it?"

He laughed and said, "Yeah, exactly."

"What do you think is the cause of death?" I asked

"Uh, I haven't seen even an animal body with it's veins popped up, let alone human,"

"Unless, it's not!!" Maybe it's a vampire?

"It's not what?" he asked.

"It's not.. uh poison." I covered up.

"Then?"

"Must be some nerve deactivating chemical." Phew, he was satisfied with my answer.

"Yeah, it could be," he said. I immediately went and found Carla.

"Carla, I think it is a vampire." I whispered as low as possible.

"Didn't think of that. How does one die?"

"I don't know, Katie said silver dagger."

"The part where Ms.Jones said Bob was a fruit dealer which came from a far away island sounded like the vampire fruit you told me about."

"That's just it, Carla!! He was a prute dealer! That might be the motive. Okay, do something and get everyone's attention. I'll check if he's a vampire."

"On it, Detective Samuel." she said with a salute. There was no time to laugh. I was already kneeling over Bob's body. Suddenly Carla's voice arose from somewhere away from the body.

"Everybody!! Come here!! I found something very very valuable!!!!! Come on, quick!!" Everybody gathered around her and I took the chance to cut Bob under his wrist with my tweezers. If this doesn't work, I'll be in the worst situation I can imagine. I kept glancing forth and back. I wiped his blood on his sleeve. It was a small cut, but deep enough to bleed.

"I found this fingerprint and blood next to it!!!" I looked at them out of curiosity. Then I remembered what I was doing and turned back to find the wound gone! Job's done!

"Ms.Thompson, that is Bob's fingerprint and some ketchup. Everybody, back to work!" Ella Jones announced.

"I'm sorry Ms.Jones." Carla said and came to me. We moved towards the bookshelf and I said, "He is a vampire."

"Who would want to kill a vampire?" she said and we chorused, "A vampire hunter!!!" and burst out into laughter. We had to make sure no one heard us.

"Vampire Diaries just got into my head." I said and she nodded.

"Are there any vampire hunters in the real world?" Carla asked. I shrugged to let her know that I didn't know.

"Great distraction though." I said. She giggled and started looking for fingerprints. Sometime later Ella gathered everyone and said, "The forensic reports came back just now. He was poisoned with something. They are still trying to work that out. So give me possible ways he could've been poisoned." Jacob raised his hand.

"Yes, Mr.Collins?"

"Someone could have already mixed poison into water because you said he didn't eat anything. He might've drank water."

"Hmm, great angle, you're approaching at." Ella said. Tristan raised his hand.

"Mr.Mendoza, go ahead!"

"Umm, what if he was like, shot with a dart from a safe distance. Or, the killer was already inside the house waiting for him and escaped through the back door. There aren't cameras in the back street, are there?"

"Excellent opinion. Now, can someone tell me what he was shot with?" I raised my hand.

"Yes?" Ella said.

"Um, I read in an article that silver, if eaten, causes nervous disorders. So, I think he was shot with silver." I did not read any article. I said it because I know what kills a vampire. As soon as I finished, a woman walked into the room and handed Ella another report, I guess. She read it and raised her eyebrows for some reason.

She cleared her throat and said, "Ms.Samuel, you were right!"
