I waited nervously outside the classroom for Tristan. The students started coming out but I couldn't spot him. Beside me, Carla's eyes were scanning the crowd for a blonde head. I finally saw him. I pulled him away from the crowd and asked, "So?"
His head dropped and my heart fell. It meant that his exam grades weren't that good. I had stayed with him overnight, trying to get him to memorise all the important information. He then grinned and shouted, "I passed!" I left my thoughts and hugged him.
"Phew! I didn't realise exams could be so tough." he said.
"When you don't prepare for it, then yes." I countered.
"Well, come on guys. Let's go home. I can't stand in this prison anymore." Carla said, giggling. We made our way through the crowd and outside. Near the entrance, I saw a girl, whom I had never seen before, with golden hair and bright blue eyes. She looked at me for a moment and then somewhere else. New girl, I guessed. It had been a week since the Tiras hunt got over. Just thinking about it made me uncomfortable. In the place of the karaoke shop, they had opened a new coffee shop. We decided to go there and get ourselves a drink. I sat down beside Tristan. Carla sat opposite to me and pulled out her phone. The shop door opened once again and a girl about fifteen entered. It was Jude.
"Hey Jude!" I greeted.
"Ugh, what are you doing here?" Tristan asked, surely irritated.
"Dumbo, what will I do in a coffee shop? Getting coffee." Jude replied with a smile in my direction. She sat down beside Carla and we ordered. I got myself a simple hot chocolate. I called Katie and asked her to come to the cafe with Jake, since everyone was here. Carla had invited Adam. After everyone arrived, we just talked to each other. A peaceful celebration of the Tiras hunt.
"So, what's your plan, Katie?" I asked.
"Plans in the sense?" she asked.
I shrugged. "What are you planning on doing? Become a doctor? Or.."
"I really don't know. Whatever it is, I'll have to change my job each year to not make the co-workers and others suspicious since I don't age and stuff."
"Yeah, about that." I started. "Mom's already suspicious, Katie. We have to tell them."
Katie sighed. "We'll ..tell them when they truly ask about it, okay?" I nodded.
I received a text.
Tracy: He says he's ready.
Kyra: Okay. I'll bring Tristan.I stood up and said, "Let's go, Tristan."
"What's the hurry?" he asked, standing up.
"Uh, nothing. I just want to talk to Tracy."
"Okay? Come on." he said and pushed the door open and gestured for me to go first. I waved to the others and stepped out. I started walking towards Tristan's house. Tristan caught up with me and said, "Something's definitely going on. What is it?"
"You'll see." I simply said.
"Is everything okay? Is this about telling your parents about everything?"
"No, it's...about you."
"About me? What about me?"
"You'll see." I repeated.
"Oh I hate cliffhangers." he mumbled. I hooked my arm with his and said, "Well, after everything that happened, we should really learn to adjust."
He smiled. We were at his doorstep when he said, "Wait, don't even think about doing something really crazy."
