They Find Out You Have Synesthesia

[A.N: Okay, for those of you wondering what the heck 'synesthesia' is, to put it simply- it's using more than one sense at a given time. Some people can taste colors or smell sounds. It's very interesting and affects 4% of the world population. (I'm one of 'em.) For me, I colorize words, numbers, letters, people, and occasionally sounds and scents. I've been trying to find heacannons for a synesthetic reader but haven't found any. So I'mma make 'em myself! I'll shut up now.]

Midoriya:

-He would be so fascinated and constantly ask you questions on what things are like to you.

-He wishes sometimes he could see the world you do because it sounds so colorful!

-If there was a color or anything that didn't sit right with you, he'd try to fix it to make you feel better.

-If you colorize people, he'd ask what color he is to you. (Whether that's what he sounds, looks or smells like is up to you.)

-If you colorize sounds, he'd be constantly asking which songs sounded like what.

-Like I said- constant questions. He's not trying to be nosy, he's genuinely curious.

-Totally isn't going to put this on your page in his notebook and do further research on it. (He does. He totally does.)

Bakugou:

-He's so confused. Like, what?

Him: "So, you color-code sh*t?"

You: "It's. Not. Color-coding!"

-He's just pretty much 'meh' about the whole thing once the confusion blows over.

-But once he figures out your coloring system...

-He's gonna be a little sh*t and screw with it to piss you off. (i.e- when you're partnered up for a paper, he's gonna write things in the wrong color ON PURPOSE.)

Todoroki:

-You have what now?

-Legit thought it was a disease that was going to kill you for a split second before you explained what it was. (Was totally relieved when he knew you weren't going to die.)

-He thinks you see colors like fish swimming about in the air before you fully explained how it worked.

-If you colorize sounds, he's very interested in what genres make you see which colors. Sometimes he'll have you listen to a new song and ask what color it was.

-He's very interested in how your mind works.

-At random times, you'll pop off saying something about your synesthesia and everyone around you's like, 'wtf?' and Todoroki knows what you mean.

Kirishima:

-Like Bakugou, he's confused. But he doesn't dismiss it, not for a second.

-He's so intrigued, like, you could be so organized if you're able to color everything.

-He thinks things become highlighted in a certain color like in a video game.

Him: *Randomly holds up a sock* "(Y/n)- what color is this?"

You: "Eijiro..." *exasperated sigh* "That's just a sock."

Him: "...Right! I-... I knew that."

- 10/10 does his best to understand to not seem confused.

Kaminari:

-Legit thinks it sounds like a sneeze.

Him: "Bless you,"

You: "Denki... I didn't sneeze. I said I have synesthesia."

Him: "And I said bless you. It sounds like a fancy cold."

-But for real, he'd be freaking out like a little kid. Like, is it like being high without drugs?

-He thinks everything looks like swirling colors in patches and waves all the time. You explain that's not it.

(Ngl, I lowkey headcannon him as a synesthetic too, but that's for another time.)

Iida:

-He'd heard about it a couple times before, but he's never met someone who actually had it.

-Like Midoriya, he'd ask a few questions on how things appeared to you. (He wouldn't be as extensive as Midoriya, but he'd ask a few questions here and there just out of curiosity. He does read about it a little because it seems really interesting, but he doesn't go extremely detailed.)

-He thinks your synesthesia is very helpful when it comes to memorization and organization.

-Lowkey wishes he had it too because while he is very organized, he has no system whatsoever. Like, things are forever changing and he can't keep things in a specific order for long until he gets bored of it.
