Chapter 1

"You're a woman Aiby!" my father shouted at me. I'm kinda hurt.

Lahat kami huminto sa pagkain para tignan siya. We're having family dinner kasi nandito ngayon older brother ko. He's busy and I know that dad is pressuring him to graduate with flying colors and manage the airlines.

However, I'm with him while he's sitting in his office all day. I'm with him when he's meeting the board and other employees. I'm with him when he's casually walking around the airlines and branches. He introduced me to them as the daughter of the CEO. But I'm sorry dad because I want it, I want to be a CEO who will continue his legacy.

"Dad, trust Aiby like how you trust me. Hindi ko nga alam yung reason why you trust me so much. Are you not afraid that I'll fail my exam for my license? Or switch courses?" Diin ni kuya kay dad na matalim siyang tinitignan.

"No! Test me Kaito Rin Flammia and I'll block all your cards. You're a man, Kaito, I want you to succeed me". Dad looked at my brother not wanting to continue this conversation. Huminahon na si dad kahit papano.

"Dad, I know you want me to succeed you. Pero paano naman si Aiby? Paano naman lahat ng pag sama niya sayo sa airlines? She's with you every damn time you're having a problem. She's studying the company at an early age. You taught her what you want to do. Dad paano naman si Aiby?" Pag pupumilit ni kuya, not backing down sa pag tigil ni dad.

Dad is stunned. Huminto siya at tumingin sa akin. Tinignan niya ako ng may bakas na pag kalungkot sa mata niya.Hindi ko siya kinibo kasi wala pa naman talaga ko nagagawa to be worthy of that title. I'm just spending my time inside his office and I just happened to remember some important details. Kaya minsan kapag namomoblema si dad, ako na nagpapaalala ng mga kailangan niyang unahin.

"Dad, I know you want my older brother to succeed you. But please? I want you to watch me as a future candidate, as your child, not a woman and not a daughter" Nagsalita na ko. I smiled at him to show my sincerity.

Yes, wala pa ko nagagawa pero it doesn't mean na patuloy kong hahangarin ang titulo na yun ng walang ginagawa.

Ako na tumapos ng topic na yun. My dad loves us, he just wants my brother to stay with the company and I stay with my dreams. Luckily, my brother wants to be a pilot.

"Okay! Let's start eating once again. Dear, Listen to Kaito and Aiby okay?" my mom smiled and held the hand of my father, calming him down once again.

We started eating once again, habang panay kwento si mom about her friends. My brother also shared some stories about his dorm mates. Kinuwento ko rin sa kanila na magkasama pa rin kami nila Blanca, Ella, Ely, Asra, Iris, Debora, Twilla and Rave. 

Pagkatapos namin mag dinner, umalis na si kuya to go back to his dorm. My parents went to their room. I opened the door of my bedroom and saw my bag.

A black Chanel Doudoune backpack. Pumunta ako sa closet and I saw my uniform na susuotin ko na tomorrow. Our uniform is quite simple. White long sleeves that have our school logo, Black mini skirt and a black neck tie. We also have P.e uniform but it is yet to be distributed.

I took a quick shower para makatulog ako ng mahimbing. Humiga ako sa kama and nag scroll muna ako sa Instagram. I saw my stories of my friends who tried their uniform and took a mirror shot. They noticed I'm online and mentioned me in our gc.

BLANCA: Hey @AibyFlam Are you ready for tomorrow?

ELLA: Duh she's always ready.

ELY: Syempre yan pa ba? Girl scout to the rescue yan eh hahaha.

IRIS: Yup! Kaya ang kailangan nating sabihin ay "Aiby nakapag set ka na ba ng alarm?"

DEBORAH: Hahahaha for sure sasabihin niya hindi pa!
