HeavenLeigh POV

"Finally, you're up" I said to Roddy as he woke up in my arms and he laughed a little.

"I know, had a long night yesterday I was just hella tired" He said.

"You wanna talk about it?" I asked him, he sighed.

"You gone be mad if I do?" He asked, I scrunched my eyebrows.

"Why would I be mad?" I asked.

"Well, me and Kamal ain't seeing eye to eye right now. I don't know" Roddy said.

"Oooh. Yeah we gotta talk about that" I said.

"I mean I ain't gone lie Heaven, ever since he got out, I've seen how close you two been getting and it bothers me lowkey" Roddy said.

"It does?" I asked.

"Yeah" He said. "And when I went to see Kamal yesterday, we talked about it and it got outta hand. I ain't gone lie."

"What happened?" I asked.

"He was offended because he thought I was insinuating that he was tryna get with you or something" Roddy said.

"We're you insinuating that?" I asked, and he didn't say anything.

My mouth dropped.

"Roddy! You really think that?" I asked.

"I don't know man, but he was pissed and we went off on each other and shit, it was bad." Roddy said, I sighed.

"Roddy.. Come closer baby let me talk to you" I said, he scooted up a bit and I wrapped my arms around him and he did the same around me.

"When Kamal was locked up, he entered a state of loneliness. He felt really alone in there. And he didn't feel the support of his family, which is us and Remy. I didn't know that I was the only one sending letters and accepting calls, and visiting him until he told me." I said.

"But, I wasn't doing allat because I was dealing with his criminal lawyer tryna help-"

"Roddy you could've made time. You and Remy could've made time, time is everything.." I said, he sighed.

"You right" Roddy said.

"I mean how would you feel if you were locked up all that time and didn't get no calls, visits, or even a letter from your loved ones? You would feel the same animosity he feels" I said grabbing his chin hair.

"You right, I would.. I guess I just didn't put myself in his shoes" Roddy said sighing.

"And to be clear, Kamal definitely doesn't look at me that way. We always been close before I met you, in the same way him and Remy are close. So he's like a sibling I never had. I never had brothers or sisters, so him and Remy are the closest to that. And this situation, he felt as though he only had me, so it just made us closer that's all" I said.

"I hear you, I understand that" Roddy said.

"But if there's anything you're uncomfortable with, let me know and it'll be stopped" I said.

"I mean.. I just don't like y'all hanging out alone now and shit" Roddy said.

"Um? When do we hang out alone?" I asked laughing.

"Well Remy said the other day he stopped by your church while you were doing choir rehearsal" Roddy said.

"Oh! He wasn't coming to hang out with me, he had a question about faith and perseverance, and how to find his purpose so I was just helping him with that. That's all, we didn't hang out. And when we do, it's always a group thing, with all of us so chill" I said laughing a little.
