Chapter 111

Kamal POV

"I don't know why I'm so nervous" Skylar mumbled getting out the car with me.

"Don't be" I said.

We pulled up to HeavenLeigh's church tonight. All of us agreed in Barbados that when we got back we was gone go all together.

So me, Skylar, Remy and Miyon pulled up tonight. Roddy rode with me as well, because HeavenLeigh left to go to her church way earlier to set up.

"Yeah you'll be fine" Roddy said.

"Everybody's so sweet" Remy said.

"For real? Because I'm nervous too" Miyon said.

"Y'all will be coo. I promise" I said to the both of them. I grabbed Skylar's hand as Roddy led the way for all of us, and we got to the entrance and he opened the door.

I held it open for all the ladies, as the three of them walked in, and then me and Roddy walked in seeing HeavenLeigh in the front, singing.

Everybody turned around to see who walked then, then they reverted their attention back to Heaven, and the five of us walked towards the front row where we seen some seats and we sat down watching Heaven.

Everyone else was standing up singing the lyrics along with her, and Roddy stood up, clearly admiring his wife, bobbing his head to the music.

"I just want to be close to you
Sunshine, moonlight,
Delight just a couple words describing who you are
Lovely, so lovely
Want everyone to know why I love you" She sang.

Skylar sat her things down on her seat and stood up closing her eyes and mouthing the lyrics while moving side to side and I looked up at her and rose my eyebrows.

She quickly got adjusted. And I'm not gone lie, the fact that she was so in tune with this, made me love her even more.

Love a woman who know God and got a relationship with Him. You ain't gotta go to church to have a relationship with God. And it's clear, Skylar been had one with Him from the start.

I then stood up with her and Roddy, bobbing my head and I heard Remy mumble to Miyon "Can't take the hood out of folks, look at him and Roddy" and I laughed saying "Shh"

And shortly, Remy and Miyon both stood up so now we all were up, watching Heaven do her thang.

"Come on" I said to everyone in the mic as they clapped their hands to the song as I continued to sing. I lifted one hand up and closed my eyes.

Definitely needed to sing this today.

I feel one hundred times happier when I'm up here.

I could feel myself getting in the spirit and I held the mic away from me for a second as the music kept playing.

"Wooo, thank you Jesus" I mumbled before taking a deep breath and putting the mic back to me as I continued to sing. I opened my eyes and seen Roddy, Kamal, Remy, Skylar and Miyon in the front and I smiled a little.
