[Camille]
My fingertips traced every beautiful feature on his face, slowly sliding up his jaw and tangling my fingers in his dark blonde hair.
He leaned in and pressed his forehead against mine, his warm brown eyes piercing into my grey ones. He put his hand on the side of my face, his thumb tracing invisible cirkles on my cheek, sending warm shivers through my entire body.
"You're beautiful, Millie" he whispered with a little smile.
My own lips turned up in a bright smile I tried to hide, and I wrapped my hands around his neck, pressing his body closer to mine; his eyes scanned my face. "Come on and take a low ride with me, girl, on the tunnel of love" he whispered, quoting my favourite song before leaning in, closing his eyes.
Mine opened just before his soft lips touched mine, and I stared at the ceiling with the best feeling ever rushing through my mind and body.
He'd admitted I was the prettiest girl in the room Friday night. It was now Sunday morning, and I still wasn't over it. It was the second time I'd dreamed that particular dream and yesterday, I'd walked around humming Tunnel Of Love all day.
The sunlight slipped through my curtains and there was enough light so I could see my ceiling.
A dreamy smile was present on my face, and I just laid there, thinking about the dream and Friday night. I'd also kissed his cheek, and my fingers automatically started tracing my lips as the feeling of his soft skin came back.
After thinking about James for 10 minutes I got up, walking down the stairs to the kitchen to have breakfast, humming my favourite song again.
I sat myself down at the round table, smiling at the apple in my hand. Mum just walked into the room and saw me smirking at my food, stopping in her tracks with a surprised face.
"Someone's in a good mood" she stated as she sat down in front of me. I chuckled and took a bite from the red fruit.
"Alright. Tell me about him" Mum insisted, and I almost choked in my apple, wondering if it was so obvious that I had feelings for someone. My mother laughed at my reaction and then put her elbow on the table, her head resting on her hand.
"Chloe told me you went out with a boy Friday? And he also tutors you for maths?" she stated, making it sound more like questions.
I looked at her, shocked, not really feeling the need to tell her about my crush on someone out of my league. "Oh well, it's never going to be anything anyway" I said while shrugging, making it look like I didn't care at all while it was quite the opposite, actually.
Evert time the fact that he was unreachable crossed my mind I wanted to cry. But I had to accept it.
My mother raised her eyebrows. "Are you sure? Because he did ask you out on a date" she mumbled, making me frown. "It wasn't a date" I stated, more to remind myself than to explain it to her. She started laughing and gave me a little pat on the shoulder.
"Oh honey, I'm just teasing you" she mumbled as she got up from her seat, checking her watch before grabbing her coat.
"Alright, I'm off to work. Don't forget to bring Chloe to soccer" she reminded me, running her hand through my hair before kissing the top of my head.
"Bye honey" she said before walking to the door. I looked over my shoulder and waved at her as my mouth was filled with apple, and I watched the door close. I sighed and quickly finished my apple, then going upstairs to take a quick shower.
