[Camille]

I brushed my hair while staring at myself in the mirror in front of me, tying the big mess of curls together in a rather low ponytail with the usual baby hairs in front of my ears.

I nodded approvingly before walking out of the bathroom and going downstairs to put on my shoes and jacket.

When I'd done that I rushed back to the hallway, screaming that I was leaving from down the stairs. I heard a door open and saw Chloe enter the hallway above me, staring at me with a little smile.

"Okay, have fun with James" she teased, pronouncing his name in a weird way with a chuckle and I squeezed my eyes annoyed.

"Bye" I stated, making her burst out in laughter and I walked out of my house while biting my lip in order to try to hide a smile. I was going to spend the day with James, and I was nervous, but looking forward to it as well.

I grabbed my bike from the garage and rode off my driveway, riding to his house.

After less than a minute I reached his house and parked my bike on the driveway, ringing his bell. I waited impatiently and felt something twist in my belly when I heard sounds coming from behind the door, making me realise that it could be James, but it could be his mother or father as well, and I wasn't prepared for meeting his parents.

James had already met my Mum and seemed to have no trouble in talking to her, but he didn't have any problems in talking to anyone.

Luckily for me, it was James himself who opened the door while standing on one leg trying to put on a sock.

I chuckled at the sight of him almost falling and he smiled widely, as if he wasn't desperately trying to keep his balance at all. "Goodmorning, Millie" he greeted me happily and I returned it. "I'm almost ready, I just have t-" he started, but stopped when he lost his balance and almost fell; I reached out and put my hand on his arm not to let him fall.

He looked at me and his brown eyes met my grey ones, quickly drifting off to my lips.

"Don't worry, the game's at 10. You still have time, we're there in 5 minutes" I assured him as he was completely stressing out to be on time while he still had all the time in the world. A smile slowly appeared on his face and he nodded, his eyes scanning my face.

He inhaled and put his second foot on the floor, taking a step back in his house.

"I just have to collect my things, you can wait in my room" he stated and I nodded. A weird sound suddenly came from his house and seemed to get closer by the second. James looked over his shoulder and his legs were pushed open by an excited golden retriever trying to make his way to me.

The dog stopped in front of me with difficulties, smelled my shoes and then looked up at me, trying to force his way in between my legs as well and I opened them laughing, thinking about how cute the dog was.

I put my hands on its head and started petting him with a smile on my face.

James chuckled and introduced me to his dog. "That's Rox" he stated, and I looked up at him. "And he seems to like you" he added with raised eyebrows and I looked down at the dog between my legs again, who was looking up at me with his mouth open and his tail wagging happily.

Suddenly, something drew his attention in the house again and he rushed through James's legs towards it.

James signaled for me to enter his house and stepped aside so I could walk through the door. "Okay, you can go upstairs. It's the second door to your left" he explained to me and I nodded, starting to make my way up the stairs.
