[Camille]
The teacher's voice didn't really get to me while I just sat there, leaning against the wall with a bored look on my face.
Suddenly, James leaned in, tilting his body and head closer to mine, making my heartbeat increase. "If you want to sleep again, it's okay" he whispered teasingly, his soft voice filling my ears and I couldn't hold back a smile.
My whole had been tensed the second he'd leaned closer, but now that he was sitting like that for a few seconds I got used to it and slowly relaxed.
"Even though it's boring as hell, I'm not going to sleep. Don't worry" I answered, whispering while looking at the teacher to make sure he wouldn't notice our little conversation and call us out in front of the whole class. James chuckled, and hearing it so close to my ear made a shiver run down my spine.
"It is quite boring, indeed" he mumbled, going back to sitting in his normal position. "But the day is almost over" he stated, nodding at the clock and when I looked at it, I noticed he was right.
It was a Friday, so James would come to my place again to help me with maths and I was looking forward to it. Unlike my first thoughts, it was actually a lot of fun and really helpful, since my last test had been a B. He simply was a good teacher, even though sometimes, I had trouble focusing because, well, it was him.
Soon, the bell rang and everyone got up from their seats, gathering their stuff quickly and putting their chairs on their desks.
James followed me to the hallway and waited for me while I put on my jacket, and we walked together with Jasmine and Max to our bikes as we'd agreed on biking together every Friday; that was just the easiest for me and James.
We hadn't parked our bikes at the same spot so we seperated for a while, but when Grace and Tyler both had arrived, the 6 of us left together.
Once we were biking, Max suddenly asked our attention. "Hey, girls, I'm hosting a party at my place tonight and you're all welcome" he announced proudly, making Jasmine gasp excitedly.
She loved parties, and she could make them fun for Grace and I as well but knowing her, she would probably spend more time on boys than on us. Jasmine already announced she was definitely going to come and Max said he'd text her the adress, making me wonder how he'd gotten her number.
Grace didn't really look like the girl that would enjoy parties as much as Jasmine, as she was always reading, but she liked it too and didn't really need Jasmine to have fun on parties; if she would leave us for a boy, Grace wouldn't have issues meeting new people and having fun on her own. I, on the other hand, was too shy and insecure for that. If I was left alone at a party, I'd just dissapear in a corner of the house for the entire evening and not say a word to anyone. I didn't exactly like the loud music and the sweaty people jumping and shouting random stuff.
I hadn't even noticed that James had come to bike next to me and was looking at me with a little smirk on his face.
"Are you going to the party?" he asked, a hint of hope present in his voice. I looked at him a little surprised but then shook my head. "Parties aren't really my thing..." I explained and he nodded understandingly, but also a little sad.
They spent the rest of the way home taking about the party and James biked next to me the whole time, talking about random stuff. The street where James and I were alone came soon and we all said goodbye. "See you tonight, James!" Max shouted, making me realise he was going to the party.
We continued our conversation about the birds and the bees and parked our bikes in my garage, quickly entering my house as it was starting to get colder.
