[Camille]

That morning me, Jasmine and Grace biked to school again, the cool air of the wind made my nose really cold and I already had to put some gloves on as it would've been too cold without them. Soon, I was going to have to wear a beanie as well because the wind blew my hair back and my ears weren't covered by it anymore; they cooled down quickly in the early hour of the morning, probably turning a bit red.

"Oh guys, I forgot to tell you" Jasmine suddenly said, both me and Grace easily looking at her as she was biking in the middle.

"I'm pregnant" she said nonchalantly, as if it didn't sound weird  at all coming out of the mouth of a 16-year-old virgin, for as far I knew.

I looked at her with widened eyes and Grace made a shocked sound, her mouth falling open. Jasmine looked at our reactions and started laughing, causing me and Grace to send each other confused looks.

"In The Sims, you sillies!" she laughed, and everything made way more sense now. After a few seconds of processing, I chuckled relieved and Grace burst out in laughter as well.

Jasmine liked to play The Sims a lot, maybe you could even say that she was addicted to it. Grace, on the other hand, read a lot in her spare time. She'd read tons of books and always had something good to say about them.

The 8 km we had to cover to go to school were biked before I knew it and we entered the huge covered storage where everyone who went to school by bike could park them there safely. I was locking mine when I suddenly heard a lot of boys laughing and talking by the entrance of the bike storage.

I looked up with slightly raised eyebrows and immediately looked back down when I saw who it was: it were James and his friends. Of course they biked as well, of course they were that fit.

They all parked their bikes on the other side of the storage and almost immediately started walking towards the playground.

When James noticed Jasmine, he smiled happily and I looked at her to find out she was smiling back at him. My gaze shifted back to him and he was already looking away, but my heart skipped a beat when he looked over his shoulder. His eyes met mine for the fraction of a second before he turned his head again and continued walking to the playground.

I sighed and looked after him, wondering why he never seemed to really look at me.

We started walking towards the playground as well and like always, Jasmine started talking about James and another nice thing he'd said to her or another special look he'd given her. I spent our little walk looking at my feet, which moved over the ground smoothly and by the time we got to our friends, the bell rang; I liked to call it our superpower to always be just in time for school.

Me and Jasmine were walking in the hallway towards the classrooom of our first period when I suddenly saw James appear next to Jasmine.

He smiled at her and she smiled back, a little surprised, and I felt like the atmosphere had changed now that he was walking with us. I felt my heart pounding faster and my body tingle.

I sighed and frowned to myself, looking at the ground; I had to stop with feeling this way around him.

"I don't know where we have to be so I'm going to follow you two" he admitted in a chuckle, and the soft sound of his voice filled my ears in the crowded hallway. I looked to the side and saw he was looking straight ahead, and I quickly did the same when he felt my gaze on him and turned his head to look at me.

When I realised he was looking at me for probably the first time I looked back, and his chestnut brown eyes met my grey ones for the fraction of a second before he looked away. Like always.
