[Camille]

Unlike the night before I didn't have any nightmares and was not-so-peacefully woken up by my alarm clock.

When I was walking out of my room I stopped in my tracks, in front of my flowers again. I thought they were pretty hanging on the wall all together, and I'd like to make more if my body tolerated it. I stared at the yellow daffodil for a few seconds before continuing my way downstairs.

I got ready pretty fast and gave my Mum a quick kiss on the cheek before leaving walking out the door to the garage to grab my bike to leave to wait on the corner of the street where Jasmine and Grace would wait for me to bike to school together.

But when I drove off my driveway I immediately knew it was going to be different.

James passed on his bike and saw me, immediately squeezing his brakes to stop and wait for me. I didn't feel like I still had a choice and drove towards him; he started biking as soon as I'd reached him, next to me.

"Goodmorning Millie" he greeted me happily, and I chuckled, greeting him with a little nod.

I was really thankful for him letting me sleep in class and filling in my notebook for me, I was really surprised when I found out and I'd realised in that moment why I'd actually fallen in love with him more. He was just so nice to me, no matter how much I tried to push him away, he'd always come back to me or stop to wait for me so I wouldn't have to be alone, and that kind of made me feel special. But then it occured to me that that was just who he was and he did that for a lot of other girls; that he did those things for me didn't mean anything.

I suddenly noticed he started biking faster, and I looked at him with a frown, struggling a little to keep up with him, but then I saw him smirking and realised that was just what he wanted.

I gave him a cheeky smile and decided to play along with his game, and I shifted up a gear to bike faster. In the end, we both just kept increasing our speed to get ahead of the other one, and when I was actually winning, he stopped the game. "Okay, okay... You won" he mumbled, giving in. I laughed and biked next to him again under his attentive stare.

His hair had gotten messy because of the wind and his nose had turned a light shade of red because of the cold; I probably looked exactly the same, but less good. He never seemed to look bad and I didn't care if he had a pimple or red spot in his face, I didn't even notice them and he simply always looked good.

I, on the other hand, had my bad hair days and then I'd wear it in a ponytail to try and cover it.

When we got to the corner where Grace and Jasmine were both waiting for me, they were a little surprised to see James with me but they couldn't be more enthusiastic, and James said that his friends would be there soon as well, so we waited for Max and Tyler, who, like he'd said, arrived just a few minutes later.

I thought it was crazy that we even had the same meeting spot where we'd wait for each other every morning, but we never actually bumped into each other.

Jasmine, Grace, James, Tyler, Max and I biked to school, a lot of laughter and playful screaming coming from us. James never stopped biking next to me, keeping Tyler from coming to me and having a conversation with me. But I didn't mind, James's presence was at least as good and nice.

We arrived at school and soon, the bell rang, signaling for all the students that the lessons were going to start and they had to enter the building.

I took my place in the back of the class and James sat down next to me. At first, I hated the fact we were sitting next to each other but now, after more or less 2 weeks, I tolerated it, if not liking it.
