OVERVIEW:
In an alternate universe where the Court Of Owls reigned over Gotham as an invisible yet unmistakable wave of power, a conspiracy was brewing within the members against the Head of the Court itself.
With the assassination of Alastair Vikander, the title of the Head was supposed to go down to the last remaining member of the family; Romilda Vikander. But Romilda had had enough of the Court's vile schemes and she chose to run away with her lover Alan Wayne, disappearing from Gotham forever.
Little did she know that abandoning the Court would have dire consequences for her and the newfound family she had been fighting for. As a result, only her daughter Lavina survived the chaos wrecked upon them by the Court of Owls.
Years later, Lavina reclaimed everything her mother had run away from except for the title of the Head of the Court. And the reason behind her return as well as her mysterious rise to power was no different from what started years ago after Romilda and Alan's escapade.
It didn't take long for her to become the embodiment of karma for all those who had abused the power of the Court. But in subjecting the accused to a terrible fate, she had to pay the price for each move she made on her chessboard.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
I am very excited to work on this book because it is the final installment of the series and covers all events from the very beginning to the end. You can say that this book is the answer to all the questions readers would have had while reading the preceding books.
Lechuza | L. Vikander focuses on Lavina's life and starts from her childhood, giving more insight into what events shaped her personality and molded her into the fiercely intimidating, cunning yet contradictory character. I won't be telling more here because I don't want to give any spoilers, though I feel as if even the Overview has a lot of hidden clues already.
Just like Espera and Andanza, the word Lechuza is taken from Spanish and it translates to owl. Since Lavina was a Talon and a prominent member of the Court of Owls and her family itself had founded the Court, the only fitting title I could use for her book was Lechuza.
