OVERVIEW:
Batman was not dead.
He couldn't possibly have died and Tim had gotten tired by then explaining to the rest of his grief-stricken family members. He had every reason to believe that Batman, or rather Bruce, was still out there somewhere, intentionally keeping out of sight.
But if he wasn't dead and was still out there then why hadn't he contacted his family members? Not a single call nor message had been received regarding his survival and days turned into weeks, weeks to months. No one knew what happened to him but everything pointed in the direction that he had died.
Slowly but eventually, his family was beginning to accept that fact.
All except Tim who was adamant that Bruce Wayne was alive and as a result, so was Batman.
With no one to believe in him, he was slowly melting into a pool of all the expectations he had to fulfill, at the same time haunted by the knowledge that he was right about Bruce's survival.
Like a wax figurine exposed to heat, he was slowly dissolving and the only way he could stop it was if he found proof of what he believed to be true. The only option he had was to hunt down the truth that no one else believed in.
What he did find though was unexpected yet the only lead he had to trace Batman's current whereabouts.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
I do have a lot to think about this story as of yet because I have already changed a lot from the first time I thought out the plot. Initially, this story was going to focus on that one year Tim had to spend in a wheelchair (I don't really remember what comic edition it was from but well...).
However, after some brainstorming, I thought it would be even more interesting to focus on the part of his life when Batman was proclaimed dead and only he believed that Bruce had survived. So this story kinda focuses on the time he went out on his hunt for Batman and found a little more than what he bargained for.
I wasn't supposed to publish it but couldn't resist the temptation so it is posted now on my account. But the update schedule will be very slow as I have a lot to manage along with it.
