OVERVIEW:
This story focuses on Tim Drake's elder half-sister, Sayuri Drake. Sayuri was the daughter of Jack Drake and Nuriko Sasuke and is about eight years older than Tim. The two siblings were close since after Nuriko's death, Sayuri had lived with her father but was taken back to Japan by her maternal relatives when she was fifteen. She returns years later when Tim has taken up the post of Robin alongside Batman, their father Jack was imprisoned for an attempt at murder accusations and Tim was living with the Wayne family instead. She succeeds in meeting Tim and he is overjoyed to have her back.
However, Sayuri herself is hiding a major portion of her past from her younger brother as her own mother was the leader of a Japanese warrior clan, the Sasuke, and after her death, she was expected to follow in her footsteps. Therefore, she too served as a leader until their group was taken captive by Ras Al Ghul who became responsible for the Sasuke's demise. Only Sayuri was able to escape from the captivity while most of her group was tortured and killed. After her escape, she remained on the run for a year or two and then finally returned to Gotham and reconciled with her last remaining family members, Tim and Jack.
Her captivity and guilt of escaping while the rest of her team members couldn't make it had scarred her adversely and she still deals with the trauma of those tortuous years. However, her brother and newfound friends in the Wayne family, especially Richard Grayson, help her to overcome those traumas and move on with her life.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
This is the first DC fanfic I have written and I started it on this account on 24th September 2019. This fanfic holds a special place in my heart because it was my first attempt at writing a fanfic that focused more than just on a love story. Katana | R. Grayson deals with losing a loved one, overcoming past traumas, moving on with one's life, and embracing the good things in life in spite of all the bad things fate has dealt one with.
If you are into reading slow-burn stories with a lot of cute moments and multiple plot-driven characters, then you might enjoy reading this fanfic a lot. I have tried my best to craft the characters as realistically as I could. I learned a lot and improved my writing as the story progressed. By the addition of more characters, I was able to extend the plot and I am glad for all of my readers who followed me on this journey from the first chapter to the very end.
I won't be spoiling the ending here because I believe it will be worth it if you go through the whole journey along with the main characters and experience the story to its fullest. However, it is an open ending so there can be multiple outcomes to it and I have given the liberty to the readers to imagine what would have happened after the end. I have also entered it into The Wattys 2020 so I am keeping my fingers crossed for the results to be announced.
