OVERVIEW:

Cynthia Evans, a middle school English teacher, believed that the world was running very low on optimism. She tried her level best to make a positive difference for others hence she had also started a street school for children who couldn't afford formal education.

A thievery leads her to the Bludhaven Police Department where she meets the newly appointed detective Richard Grayson who was recently coping with a very severe loss. Richard had found pieces of uplifting poetry from a bag retrieved from a thief's hideout and when he met the person who had composed those snippets, he couldn't help but feel a strange connection to her.

But in a city where the threats are no less than those in Gotham, the way to finding a bright ray of sunshine in one's dull life can often prove to be a difficult feat.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

This story is set after Barbara was shot by the Joker and her survival was kept a secret, making the world believe that she had died. Her death tore Richard who left Gotham for he couldn't stay in the city where every place reminded him of her.

Richard gave up the post of Robin, moved to Bludhaven and tried his best to start afresh. It took him a long time to come to terms with the loss so he applied in the Bludhaven Police Department to keep himself distracted through work.

This is a slow burn story and focuses more on moving on after the death of a loved one. I have not yet started writing any chapters but I have a mental outline for the four starting chapters and a rough idea of how it will end.

So I can assure you that if you are into tragedies, slow burn love and themes that focus on learning to love again then this might be a good read for you (at least I hope, I look forward to knowing what you think once I get enough time to write it and hit publish).
