OVERVIEW:
If Irene Cooper was to be described in one word, the perfect choice would be whimsical. Living in a tapestry of delicate fantasies and nets of loosely woven dreams, Irene had a world of her own and was often rather detached from the reality that surrounded her.
Ashton Cooper, on the other hand, was as far as he could be from the whimsical world his sister lived in. Pragmatic and thoughtful, though he was the younger of the two, Ashton would often find himself trying to wake Irene up from her never ending dreams.
But all his attempts would always go in vain for nothing could burst her bubble and he was concerned that if she continued going on with her life as such, waking up to reality would become nothing short of a nightmare in itself.
However, little did he know that wake up calls were not always harsh and painful, and definitely not for Irene. Because in order to wake her up, fate had chosen the dreamiest option possible.
A boy with dreamy blue eyes and a kind tender heart, a boy who went by the name of Richard Grayson.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
To be honest, I haven't thought a lot about this story as of now. It is once again a product of my designing a cover and wanting to use it. But then most of my stories start that way and later evolve into full-length novels.
The only things I have sorted out are that Ashton and Jason are of the same age and are good friends. Both are fond of literature, met in the library and bonded over their love for classics. Irene is also just as fond of literature as Ashton is (probably an inherent quality since their father was an author).
The Cooper family consists of these two and their mother, their father had tragically died years ago (either through suicide or a murder covered as a suicide). After him, Norah Cooper brought up her two children and made sure to never let them feel their father's absence. Norah is a strong woman who has faced her life head-on and braved all the obstacles for the sake of her children.
This is also the first story of mine in which I am exploring a character who is hearing impaired and so it requires a lot of research on my part.
I haven't yet decided how Irene and Richard meet nor have I settled on a main plot line as of now, but if I do publish it, it will be a very cute story (think of Caffeine Withdrawal as a reference) and I am planning on keeping it light-hearted because after killing off a major character in one of my fanfics, I have lost the nerve to give more pain to my readers.
But we'll see what happens, my plans keep changing last minute so even I can't be sure of how this is going to turn out after publishing. The only thing that I hope for at the moment is that it won't disappoint but that too is something we'll see when the story unfolds.
