Lacey sat in her lounge after finally getting Leo to fall asleep, it only took her to sing what felt like ten lullaby's, to him eventually falling asleep to her singing one of her own songs, making her smile. But Lacey could of cursed the person dead who decided to ring her doorbell after she had worked so hard to get Leo to sleep.
"What you doing here?" Lacey questioned to the brown eyed male, who was smirking at her. "Thought I'd check in on how babysitting was going" Mason smiled, as he walked into Lacey's apartment, smiling at the fact none of it had changed, everything remained the same as it did a year ago. "You could of text to ask that" lacey mumbled, as she pulled at her baggy jumper, Mason rolling his eyes. "What's with all the baggy clothing?" Mason mumbled, as he sat on the sofa, opening his arms for Lacey to crawl into, which she declined by sitting next to him, him pouting slightly, but shrugging it off. "Why not" Lacey smiled, as she toyed with the ends of the jumper, Mason shaking his head. "You've lost weight" Mason mumbled, as Lacey nodded her head. "Life on the road" Lacey mumbled, as Mason shook his head. "It's not and you know it so don't bullshit me" Mason mumbled. "Don't think I haven't noticed" Mason mumbled, as Lacey rolled her eyes, shifting her gaze elsewhere to try and avoid the conversation that she knew was going to happen. "Noticed what?" Lacey mumbled, as Mason shook his head, turning to face her, his eyes glancing over her, from the top of her head to her feet and back, before he sighed, shaking his head again.
"You can bullshit everyone else Lace, but not me" Mason whispered. "I've seen people go through the same thing, sometimes something similar, I'm not going to let you go through it alone" Mason whispered, as he reached his hand over to hers, playing the tips of her fingers, before he moved across the sofa, pulling her into him,
"I don't know what you mean" Lacey whispered with a sigh, as Mason shook his head. "The Lace I know would of eaten at least three cupcakes today, the Lace I know wouldn't wear a coat all day in the sun that was 21 degrees might I add" Mason whispered. "The baggy clothing, the constant drinking, you barely lived in America Lace, you sheltered yourself away for whatever reason that was, but I'm here, and we will get through this together" Mason whispered, as he spoke the truth about everything, the truth being Lacey was insecure, and that was something she had to figure out how to deal with on her own, Mason couldn't change that, but he could be around to make sure she was looking after herself. "You're perfect the way you are, you've always been perfect in my eyes" Mason whispered, as he placed a strand of her hair behind her ear, his thumb running down her cheek softly, as he held her chin, making her look at him.
"I know you've been through a lot, so much fucking shit that I wish I could take away" Mason stated, "but all I can do is be here for you now" Mason whispered, as his hand let go of her chin, Lacey's eyes still staying focused on him.
"Do you ever wonder where you'd be in life if one thing had of changed? Like even the smallest thing" lacey whispered, as Mason nodded his head. "Life's full of what ifs, like, if I hadn't of gone for drinks that night would of met you? Maybe yeah, but not as we did. Would that of changed our whole story? Maybe? I took a chance that night, and I'll never regret it" Mason whispered, as his mind wondered to the night he had met Lacey.

It wasn't even a night, it was a late afternoon, from the VIP area at Stamford Bridge, to their local drinking spot, a comment made that encouraged Lacey to change Masons opinion on her, and the rest was history, the day they met they were never destined to mean anything to each other, they both made that happen.

"If I had never made things right with Callum, I'd never know you" Lacey whispered, and that was the truth. Lacey and Mason met through Callum and Lacey rebuilding their relationship, not through Masons cocky comments, not through drinking at a bar, they met through Lacey's story, not Masons.
"I remember looking into your eyes that night, and I knew at that moment I wanted to know you" Mason smiled, as his hand brushed Laceys again, an innocent gesture. "And I knew sneaking out, the risks that come with it, but I'd do it time and time again to see you smile" Mason breathed, a small smile on his face. "But I can't do that if you don't start looking after yourself" Mason whispered, bringing the conversation back to where it had all started.
"I remember writing We Belong Together, and wondering if we ever would be together" Lacey whispered, as her hand took its turn in brushing against Masons. "Then Remember Me, just being something that I'd hope you'd listen to and not hate me for" Lacey whispered, smiling to herself as Masons fingers brushed hers again. "And Waste, I meant every word I sang" Lacey whispered.
"I wanna waste all my love on you Mase" Lacey whispered, as he nodded his head, a small smile on his lips.
"I wanna waste all mine on you" Mason whispered, as his hand found Lacey's cheek, bringing her face to his and placing a delicate kiss to her lips, smiling into it as the sparks and the butterflies flooded their bodies, both of them being reminded that this is why they were supposed to be together.
"Will you stay the night?" Lacey whispered, as Mason kissed her forehead, holding her close. "Anything for you sweetheart" Mason breathed.

I've been in work for nearly 48 hours and I've just been informed by a friend that Mase is rumoured to be dating a Paris model and I feel sad 😂 honestly want him to be so happy, but right in the feels 😂
