"Why would you think I'm cheating on Mase?" Lacey muttered, as she ran a hand through her hair, Lauren shaking her head at her best friend. "You're telling my husband you miss him! You're telling my husband to come round to your house because your fiancée isn't home!" Lauren shouted back.
Lauren knew she shouldn't of put two and two together, she knew she should of heard her husband out, but here she was, shouting with Lacey, whilst Declan stood in the garden, pushing the twins in the pushchair to keep them asleep, he didn't know how this has happened, but here he was, staying out of the shouting match that was going on. "I'm not cheating with your husband Lauren, have you heard yourself?" Lacey questioned, as she shook her head, trying to process what was going on. "Then what the fuck is going on then?" Lauren mumbled, as she took a deep breath, trying to relax herself, trying to calm herself down, knowing that this stress wasn't worth the risk to her unborn child, but she also couldn't help but feel that there was more to this than an innocent friendship."I'll explain everything but will you please calm down" Lacey whispered, as she looked over at Lauren, seeing how worked up she had gotten over this, and she knew that she should of been honest in the first place, but she didn't want anything to ruin what she had planned, but Lacey knew now that she needed to be honest.
"I wanted to surprise Mason, and Declan's been helping me with it" Lacey muttered, as Lauren shook her head. "You expect me to believe that?" Lauren muttered, as Lacey nodded her head. "Lauren, I'm telling you the truth, on my children's lives, I'm not cheating on Mason with Declan, or anyone for that matter" Lacey muttered, as she paced backwards and forwards along the lounge, avoiding eye contact. "I promise you that nothing intimate is going on here" Lacey whispered, as Lauren shook her head. "Then tell me the truth" Lauren questioned, but it didn't sound like a question, it was more of a monotone statement. "Decs been helping me with a surprise, this whole wedding planning has thrown me off completely, I'm so nervous about it all, and I feel like everyone's judging me for having cold feet one moment and wanting to get it over with the next, but he listened, his been teaching me how to dance, like properly dance, but his also been helping me with something else" Lacey whispered, as Lauren shook her head. "Like what? Satisfying you because Mason can't?" Lauren muttered, as Lacey shook her head, feeling the anger build up inside her. "Declan helped me make a video message from my Dad because Mason knows how much it kills me that he can't be there on my wedding day, Declan's been working timelessly on making sure that I feel like his there in my day, Mason speaks often on how he wished he could of met my Dad, and done things officially and his helped me make that happen" Lacey muttered, as the tears left her eyes, and she held on to the locket that had broken, but Declan had got replaced, and was now hanging around Lacey's neck, where it belonged.
"So you're not cheating on me?" Mason breathed from the doorway, as Lacey looked up at him, taking in his tear stained face, the sheer panic on his face. "Never in a million years, and the fact you both thought it makes me feel like shit" Lacey muttered, as she turned on her heels, walking towards the stairs. "I thought I could count on you both, but maybe I was wrong" Lacey muttered, as she walked up the stairs, silent tears falling from her eyes, as she walked into her bedroom, sitting on the bed, as she heard Declan and Mason speaking on the stairs outside the room.
"Mase, she just wanted to feel like her dad was there on the day, she just wanted you to experience him saying his happy for you two" Declan muttered, as Mason sighed to himself. "I know, and I shouldn't of thought the worst, I feel awful" Mason muttered, as Declan nodded his head. "Go speak to her, I'm sure she wants nothing more than a hug from you right now, she's had a shit few days" Declan stated, as Lacey heard the shuffling on the other side of the door, before it opened, and Lacey smelt the familiar cologne come wafting through the room.
"Come here you" Mason whispers, as he wraps his arms around Lacey and pulled her into his lap. "You're perfect you know" Mason whispered, as he placed a kiss on the top of Lacey's forehead, letting her relax into his arms. "I'm sorry" Mason mumbled, as he rested his head on Lacey's shoulder, as she sighed to herself. "I just didn't think Lauren would ever react that way" Lacey mumbled, as Mason nodded his head, the stubble of his beard running against her neck, tickling her. "She's hormonal, I remember you being hormonal" Mason mumbled, as Lacey nodded her head. "God, the first time you were a nightmare, no wonder you was backwards and forwards with me" Mason chuckled, as Lacey shook her head smiling at him. "Feels like a lifetime ago" Lacey whispered, as Mason nodded his head. "Shall we go and sort things out? Go to that nice little food place you like?" Mason whispered, as Lacey looked at him. "You know I didn't cheat on you with Dec don't you?" Lacey whispered, as her bright green eyes turned to look into Masons brown ones, as he shook his head. "I didn't think you would ever chest on me, let alone add my best friend to the mix, I believe you baby" Mason whispered.
"But let's go make things right, don't forget your cousin gets married tomorrow" Mason whispered, as Lacey looked at her fiancée, and wondered how she honestly ever got so lucky.Authors Note,
I can confirm there's about nine chapters left...ironically I started this thinking it would be 30 odd chapters, never as long as the ones before, but here we are on chapter ninety..
