"You're awake" Mason breathed, the tears rolling down his face. "Have I missed girls night?" Lacey mumbled, trying to sit up in bed, but she was too exhausted to do it. "Can we get Chinese?" Lacey mumbled, as her head hit the pillow, moaning at the pain that filled her body when it hit the pillow. "Are you serious right now?" Mason chuckled, as he walked over to the bed, sitting in it and smiling down at her. "Chinese or girls night?" Lacey whispered, as she yawned. "Both" Mason whispered, as he ran his hands through her hair. "I feel really tired" Lacey whispered, as the nurse come through the door. "In an ideal world you wouldn't sit in bed with her when the doctor comes in" the Nurse smiled, as Mason rolled his eyes. "I want him in bed with me" Lacey mumbled, as she closed her eyes. "Is it normal for her to feel this tired?" Mason questioned to the nurse, as she nodded her head, reading Lacey's observations from the monitor she was hooked up too. "Yeah, she will be in and out of sleep for the next day or two, it's the morphine and pain killers, she will probably start to have some weird conversations and vivid dreams, but it's all normal" the nurse smiled, as she placed her pen back in her pocket. "Anything else I should be aware of?" Mason questioned, as the nurse shook her head. "No, but any questions, don't hesitate to ask" the nurse smiled, before she left the room, Ben and Ellie making their way in. "Is she asleep again?" Ben chuckled, as Mason looked over at Lacey realising she was asleep again, her head titled on the pillow, her hand wrapped in Masons. "Yeah, she is" Mason smiled, his thumb stroking her hand. "But she's awake, knows who I am, wants Chinese and girls night" Mason chuckled, as Declan and Lauren appeared at the door, holding cups of coffee for everyone. "Did she wake up?" Lauren whispered, her tone of voice sympathetic. "Yeah, she wants Chinese" Mason smiled, as Declan laughed. "She's been hit by a truck and the girl wants a Chinese" Declan continued to laugh, as Lauren hit his chest. "Let's not joke about it yeah, she might be awake but she isn't out of the woods" Lauren mumbled, as Declan nodded his head, but the smile remained on his face.
"Shall we go tell Cal that she's awake and he can stop worrying" Ellie whispered to Ben, as Ben nodded his head. "Think we should give them some space?" Lauren whispered, as Declan looked at her confused. "Why would they need space?" Declan mumbled, as Mason looked over at them briefly, before adverting his gaze back to Lacey, who was still sleeping. "Because it's the right thing to do you dick" Lauren mumbled, as she pulled Declan out of the room, all Mason could hear his Declan questioning why, making him chuckle a little. "Have they gone?" Lacey mumbled, as she opened her eyes yawning, Mason smirking down at her. "Did you just fake being asleep?" Mason questioned, as he lay down next to her, letting her crawl into his chest. "No, I didn't fake sleep but when I heard their voices I decided to keep my eyes closed, I didn't want the whole babying thing" Lacey whispered. "They care though Lace" Mason whispered, as he placed a kiss to her temple. "I'm not saying they don't, I just really don't have the energy for it right now" Lacey whispered, as Mason nodded his head. "I really thought id lost you" Mason whispered, as Lacey shook her head slowly. "Can't lose me" Lacey smiled, as Mason looked across and into her eyes, placing a kiss to her lips. "This wasn't how I planned on asking you to be my girlfriend" Mason mumbled, as Lacey smiled at him. "It can wait" Lacey smiled, as Mason shook his head sighing. "I'm honestly scared that if I wait any longer you'll fall off a cliff or something" Mason mumbled, as Lacey tried not to laugh, but ended up laughing and then coughing. "Please don't make me laugh, it hurts" Lacey mumbled, as Mason looked over at her sympathetically. "You'll probably end up marrying Lauren before I ask you to be my girlfriend" he continued to mumble, in a huff that his plans for the day had been ruined.
"Babe, are you trying to suggest that I purposely got hit by a lorry or a truck or whatever it was to avoid you asking me to be your girlfriend?" Lacey mumbled, as Mason shook his head. "No? Why would I ask you to get hit by a lorry or a truck or whatever it was?" Mason mumbled, as Lacey shook her head. "Because right now it sounds like your blaming not asking me to be your girlfriend on the fact I'm in hospital, which is funny to some extent, but Yano, I didn't ask for this life" Lacey chuckled. "The lorry chose me, I didn't choose the lorry" Lacey continued, trying her hardest not to laugh. "Well I'm glad you find this funny, because I definitely do not" Mason mumbled, as he played with Lacey's hair, plaiting it and redoing it. "You have to admit it's pretty funny" Lacey mumbled, as she grabbed Masons hands, making her look at him. "I'm really not seeing the funny side of this" Mason mumbled. "You and your brother are literally an inch away from hells door" Mason mumbled. "Why hells door?" Lacey questioned, looking over at him. "Because you find this funny so you'd be going to hell" Mason stated, as Lacey rolled her eyes at him. "I just choose to see the brighter side of things" Lacey smiled, as Mason shook his head. "And what's that exactly?" Mason mumbled, as Lacey smiled at him. "You said you was gonna cook for me and we could watch friends" Lacey smiled, as Mason shook his head smiling. "You heard that?" Mason smiled, as Lacey nodded her head. "I did indeed" Lacey smiled, as Mason held her face in his hands. "Promise me something?" Mason whispered, as Lacey nodded her head. "Next time your in hospital it's because you're giving birth our children?" Mason smirked, as Lacey smiled at him. "No promises, but I'll try" Lacey smiled, as he placed a kiss to Lacey's lips.
