Training, match day t -1
"Its fucking freezing" Lacey muttered, as Ellie laughed at her, pulling her own coat around her body as Lacey shuddered. "If you're that cold we can go inside, i don't want you to freeze to death" Ellie stated, as Lacey shook her head. "I'm watching Mase" Lacey whispered, as she watched her boyfriend in the distance run around and dance with his team, all of them smiling and laughing, as they played a game of catch the rabbit, trying to pull the red bibs out of people's shorts, it was a warm up game, but the team took it way too seriously, most of them being over-competitive. "Lace, you're fully shaking" Ben muttered, as he come over and wrapped his arms around Lacey, Lacey feeling instantly warm as she felt the warmth from his body flood her system. "I'm fine, honestly" Lacey gave a weak smile, but really, she just wanted to be in her bed right now. "Do you need me to get Mase?" Ben whispered, as Lacey shook her head. "I'm fine, i'm just going to go get some water" Lacey whispered, but she felt the familiar twinge in her stomach, as she began to walk, stopping slightly, causing Ben and Ellie to look over at her, concern flooding their faces, as Ben shook his head and jogged back onto the training pitch, in search of his best friend.
Lacey stood in the canteen, the warmth wrapping around her body, as she sat down on the cold blue seat, the twinge in her stomach subsiding.
The Sun;
Rumours have it that Lacey Cross is giving her twins up for adoption, after further rumours that Lacey Cross and Jack Grealish are in a relationship and Grealish who plays for Manchester City and England has stated that he does not need a reminder or Mason Mount and Lacey's Cross's previous relationship. Grealish and Cross were seen cosying up at the zoo before Jack dropped her home later on in the day, where Mason arrived shortly after, none the wiser that the opposing team he is playing's star player is secretly seeing his on and off girlfriend.
Stay tuned for updates on the Chelsea and Manchester City game this weekend.
"I'm just so done with it all" Lacey muttered, as she placed her phone screen down on the table, sighing to herself. "Why you all alone in here?" Mason whispered, as he wrapped his arms around his girlfriends shoulder's hugging her from behind. "I was cold" Lacey whispered. "That all?" Mason whispered, as Lacey nodded her head, her eyes staying focused on her phone that was turned upside down. "Lace, they just talk rubbish don't they" Mason mumbled, aware of the article that was already circling the internet. "It's not that though is it Mase, it's everyday its something new, is the universe trying to tell us something?" Lacey muttered, as Mason shook his head, Lacey finally adverting her gaze to him. "What do you mean?" Mason questioned, as Lacey shook her head. "Nothing, forget it" Lacey muttered, as Mason shook his head. "No, if you want to say something, say it" Mason muttered, as his brown eyes stared into Lacey's and for once, Lacey knew how this was going to end, and it wasn't how she wanted it to end. "Lace, if you wanna go, just go" Mason muttered, as Lacey looked up at him, feeling slightly hurt by his words. "Do you want me to go?" Lacey whispered, as Mason sighed, running a hand through his usual fluffy hair. "I'm not saying i want you to go, but its obvious that lately you're not interested" Mason muttered, as he licked his lips. "What do you mean i'm not interested? I'm here aint i?" Lacey muttered, as she shook her head, trying to stand up, and as soon as she did she instantly felt light headed. "Are we really arguing over this?" Lacey whispered. "Yeah, we are, because you've been moody, and i just don't get it, you only tell me you love me if i say it first, god i feel like im fighting for your attention all the time, this is just stupid, maybe you was right, maybe this was all a mistake" Mason muttered, as he pushed past Lacey slightly, stopping at the door briefly, before he turned back to face Lacey, sighing as he ran a hand over his face. "I just feel like we get to the good point and you decide that it isn't good enough, and that's fine" Mason whispered. "But this match is really important to me, if you decide to stop sulking about come back out, if not I'll stay at Chillys" Mason muttered, as he walked out of the canteen, letting the door slam behind him, as Lacey shook her head.
Lacey wasn't sure if it was the hormones, everything that was going on, or the pain that had come back in her stomach, but she all of a sudden felt the weight of the world that she hadn't felt on her shoulders for the first time in a while.
Lacey picked up her phone, sighing to herself and she dialled the number she knew all too well.
"Will you come and get me?" She whispered, as they answered the phone. "Yeah, I'm at training" Lacey mumbled, as they agreed to be there within the next twenty minutes, Lacey wishing it would be sooner, but knowing that it would take time to remove her from the situation.But as Lacey found herself staring at the Cobham training walls, seeing her boyfriend on the walls, and she couldn't help but wonder how many times this would have to go sour before things would be right.
Lacey walked through the hallways of Cobham and waited in the parking lot for her friends to come and collect her, sighing to herself as Declan exited the car, followed hot on his heels by Lauren. "What did he do this time?" Lauren muttered, as Lacey shook her head. "I'm too hormonal for him" Lacey muttered, as she jumped in the car, Declan muttering how he would speak to him later, but all Lacey could think about was if this was just a blip in the road, or whether this was always destined to be Lacey and Mason.
