"Are you ready then?" Lacey smiled, as she hobbled into Callum's room, seeing him sat on the end of the bed bed with his left leg in a casting boot. "I guess so yeah" Callum smiled gingerly at her. "You can stop looking at me like that, we're both here to live another day" lacey smiled, as she hobbled over and sat next to her brother, laying her head on his shoulder. "I know, I know, I just can't help but wonder what if" Callum mumbled, as Lacey shook her head, sighing at him. "I agree don't get me wrong, I mean I've thought it at least twice this morning, but we're both here, and we both get to go home and rest in our own beds" Lacey smiled. "You get to go home and hug Leo that little bit tighter, and that's something to smile about" Lacey continued smiling. "I know, you're right" Callum breathed, as he stepped up from the bed, wobbling a little, but standing tall, as he helps Lacey up from the bed, listening to her groan a little. "How many broken ribs did you get?" Callum questioned, as the two of them walked slowly down the corridor. "Three, and don't I know about it" Lacey mumbled. "I'm going to miss my morphine button" Lacey chuckled, as Callum rolled his eyes. "At least you got that, I didn't" He mumbled. "Do you think the outside worlds changed much?" Callum questioned, as Lacey rolled her eyes at him. "It's been four days, I don't think it's changed that much" Lacey chuckled, but then she couldn't help but think back to the time she had spent in the hospital room, being alone and driving herself insane during the process of it, so breathing in the cold air outside was a blessing in disguise. "Whats your plans for when you get home?" Callum questioned, as he stood waiting for Dani to pull up to pick him up, Lacey hadn't quite said how she was getting back to her house, but had eagerly declined Callum's offer. "I'm not sure, but I'm okay with that" Lacey smiled, but she did hope that she was going to walk into her apartment and find one of Masons socks lying around, or his shoes out of place on the shoe rack, all of a sudden she had missed the smaller things in life, and just wished that it was that way, she wanted normal food, and to loose the smell of bleach from her nostrils. "Do you want me to wait for you?" Callum whispered, as Dani pulled up in front of the hospital, Masons car following as Lacey shook her head. "Nah, I'm good" Lacey smiled, as she turned to face her brother.
"I love you" she mumbled, as she pulled her brother in for a hug, holding him tight despite the pain that shot through her body when she did it, she wanted to hold him that little closer, she wanted him to know that she loved him. "I love you too" Callum whispered, as he kissed the top of her head. "I'll ring you later" he smiled, as he opened the car door, slipping inside, as Mason met Lacey outside, holding an arm around her waist.

Lacey and Mason waved as Callum and Dani drove off from the hospital, Lacey turning to face Mason, as she looked back from his eyes to the car, her body going stiff. "Lace?" Mason whispered, as his hand turned her face to look at him. "Talk to me? What's wrong?" Mason whispered, as his hand pushed her hair from her face, resting on her waist. "Is it silly that I don't want to get into it?" She whispered, as Mason sighed, shaking his head and pulling her into his chest carefully, careful not to hurt her further. "It's not silly, we can take as long as you need" Mason whispered, as he pressed his lips to her temple, holding her close. "It's silly" Lacey breathed into Masons chest, as she felt him stiffen up. "Lacey, it's not, and if you want to get a taxi, or the bus, even the train, we will do that" Mason whispered, as Lacey looked up at him. "Really?" Lacey whispered. "Really, really" Mason smiled. "You promise to drive slow?" Lacey whispered, as she held her hand to her side. "I promise, I've even brought coffee, headphones, a book and a magazine" Mason whispered. "I knew it was going to be hard and I didn't really know what would help so I grabbed a few things" Mason whispered, as Lacey felt the butterflies fill her stomach, smiling up at him. "You did that for me?" Lacey whispered, as she turned her head looking at the car, realising that he also had brought Declan and Lauren in the backseats. "And company, how could I forget the company" Mason laughed, as Declan shoved his face against the window, making Lacey laugh. "Can I sit in the back?" Lacey questioned, as Mason nodded his head. "Anything for you sweetheart" Mason whispered, as he kissed the top of her head, walking hand in hand to the car.

"Are you sitting in the middle of us?" Declan questioned, confusion flooding his face as Lacey rolled her eyes. "Yeah, I'm gonna sit on your lap to keep me safe" Lacey mumbled, as Declan looked at Mason. "She's joking right?" Declan questioned. "I wanna sit in the back, move your ass" Lacey mumbled, as Declan smirked. "I call shotgun" Declan smiled, as Lauren rolled her eyes. "It's the only seat left, and truthfully I'll be glad for some peace" Lauren chuckled, as Declan pouted at her before getting in the front. "If you want me to stop I'll stop yeah?" Mason whispered, as Lacey slipped into the seat, closing her eyes slightly. Lauren holding her hand, smiling over at her. "Actually, Dec get out" Lacey mumbled. "What have I done now?" Declan groaned, as he turned to face her from the front. "Can you drive?" Lacey whispered, as Mason looked at her confused. "And can you sit in the back with me and Lauren?" Lacey whispered, as Mason nodded his head, handing Declan the keys, sliding into the seat next to Lacey. "Anything for you" he smiled, wrapping his arms around her, letting her rest her head on his chest, as Declan began to drive out of the hospital car park.
