"It's a love hate relationship" Dani mumbled, as Lacey continued to tidy the house that Dani and Callum now owned, Callum had gone away on a business trip for work, but it meant he left Dani with Leo for a month, and Leo was becoming a very active one year old that liked to try to destroy the house, Dani was just too exhausted to not try to stop him lately. "If you need a break I'll babysit, I'm here Dan" Lacey stated, as she picked Leo up and held him on her hip, the one year old relaxing instantly and resting into Lacey. "You're the child whisperer that's for sure" Dani mumbled. "Seriously, pack him a bag for a couple of days, I'll take him and you take some much needed you time" Lacey stated, as she sat down with Leo on the sofa, beginning to play with some toys. "You sure you don't mind?" Dani questioned, as Lacey nodded her head. "Seriously, go pack" Lacey stated, as Dani left the room to go back a bag.

I could pop in, but I have LeoMasey;
Cake is all a child wants in lifeLaces;
Not this child.Lacey smiled to herself as Dani brought in the packed bag. "You sure?" She questioned again as Lacey nodded her head laughing. "I'll be fine" Lacey smiled, as she picked Leo up again. "I'll get you the car seat" Dani smiled, as she swept her hair up into a messy bun. "He eats hair as well" Dani mumbled, as Lacey laughed at her best friend. "You're aha amazing mum, you know that right?" Lacey whispered, as Dani nodded her head. "I think I just need a break, single parenting is hard" Dani whispered, as Lacey nodded her head, she understood that it must be hard being on your own. "But we're going to have fun ain't we little man" Lacey smiled, as Leo giggled up at her. "Right, call me if you need anything" Dani smiled, as Lacey slipped into the drivers seat. "I'm sure we will be fine" Lacey smiled, before she pulled off, heading for Lauren and Declan's house, even if Leo didn't want cake, Lacey definitely did.

"God he looks like Callum did" Jack chuckled, as he held Leo on his own hip, Leo trying to take the headband out of Jacks hair. "Be careful, I've been warned he eats hair" Lacey smiled, as she dipped her finger into some of the frosting, eating it and widening her eyes. "Please don't chose that one, it's horrible" Lacey mumbled, as she cleaned her fingers with a wipe and took a sip of water. "That's because it's banana and I don't even know why it was a contender" Declan mumbled, as he continued to use a spoon to eat the chocolate frosting. "I like the vanilla though" Mason stated, as he too ate with a spoon, Lauren rolling her eyes. "You know everyone supposed to try it right?" She mumbled, her eyes looking between both of the best friends, as they shrugged their shoulders smiling at her.
Jack placed Leo down on the ground and watched as he stumbled towards Lacey, holding his hands up to her and making a grabbing motion, as Lacey leant down and picked him up, cradling him in her arms, smiling down at him. "You missed auntie Lacey didn't you?" Lacey cooed, as he giggled at her.Mason stood with Declan, leaning against the wall, both of their frosting pots now empty, as Mason crossed his arms, smiling as he looked over at Lacey, feeling a wave of different emotions flood his body. "What you thinking?" Declan whispered, as Mason shook his head slightly, but still smiled. "It's mad to think that could of been us" he whispered, as he continued to watch Lacey with Leo, thinking how much of a good parent she would of been, how good they both would of been. "I think there's still time" Declan smiled, as Mason shook his head, looking at Declan briefly. "I don't think so, I think we will always be a thing of the past now, I think we've changed too much to be able to go back to it" Mason whispered, as he watched as Lacey placed Leo back down, watching as he stumbled towards Mason, making the grabbing motion towards him, laughing up at him. "He doesn't bite yano" Jack chuckled, as Mason mimicked Jack, before picking Leo up, holding him on his hip. Leo smiled up at Mason, and grabbed the beanie that was on his head, pulling it off Masons head and revealing the overly messy fluffy hair that Lacey learned to love on him. "Looks like he wants your hat" Declan laughed, as he placed the hat on top of Leo's head, the hat burying the small child, Lacey laughing and taking a photo of the both of them.
"What are you thinking?" Lauren whispered, as Ellie stood next to Lauren and Lacey, Lacey shaking her head. "He would of been a great dad" Lacey whispered, as her hand found a place on her stomach, just briefly touching it, almost as if she was reminiscing the time when she was pregnant. "Maybe they'll be time in the future" Lauren smiled, repeating what Declan had said to Mason moments ago. "Maybe yeah" Lacey smiled, as for a moment she thought about the future and what it could hold to her and Mason, or whether they would just be a figment of her memories, the future being her imagination.
"Ake" Leo smiled, a toothy grin, as Mason nodded his head. "Boss man has spoken, cake" Mason smirked, as he looked over at Lacey, who was smiling, shaking her head. "I told you he would want cake" Mason smirked, as the two of them gathered around the smaller cupcakes, Mason sitting on the ground with Lacey next to him, Leo sat in the middle of Masons legs, unwrapping or trying to unwrap the cake paper from the cupcake, and all Lacey could think of is how this felt so right.
