"You did it bro" Mason chimed, as he clasped Declan on the back, before Declan pulled him in for a hug. "I don't want to get over emotional, but I'm really thankful that I have you in my life" Declan whispered, holding his best friend close to him. "Back at you, I honestly don't know where I'd be without you" Mason whispered, as he heard the cameras going off around him, knowing that this moment had been caught, and he was thankful that it had. "You know Chloe's coming right?" Declan whispered, as Mason nodded his head. "Me and Lace haven't spoken about it, but I'm sure everything will be fine" Mason forced a smile, he wasn't fully sure on how he felt about an ex-girlfriend and his current girlfriend being at his best friends wedding, or how it would pan out throughout the day, but he had pushed it to the back of his mind to worry about when it happened. "Go find Lace" Declan whispered, as Mason nodded his head, pulling away from his friends hug and scanning the people around, trying to find his girlfriend, which he soon saw the back of.
Lacey was stood with Sasha, Ellie and Jack, all of them engaged in conversation, as Mason made his way over to them. "Room for one more?" Mason smiled, as his arm wrapped around Lacey's waist, pulling her into him. "Always" Lacey smiled, as she felt Mason kiss the top of her head, smiling into his touch. "You guys are too cute" Sasha mumbled, as Jack put his arm around her waist, pulling her into him.
"Can you believe we're here?" Lacey whispered, as she felt everyone's eyes land on her, Ben coming to join the conversation. "Like, Christmas Day, Declan asking Lauren remains in my head, like it's a memory I'll hold forever" Lacey smiled. "But a year and a bit later we're finally here, they're finally married" Lacey smiled, as Jack laughed at the younger girl. "That is what happens when you get engaged to someone, the end goal is marrying them" as Sasha hit Jacks chest again. "What was that one for?" Jack mumbled, as he rubbed his chest, his eyes then widening at the realisation of what he had said. "Unless you're a dick, then you don't marry a dick" Jack mumbled, as he remembered that Lacey was once engaged to Levi.
"Do you ever wonder what will happen now?" Ellie whispered, as Lacey looked over at her. "I mean, I don't think anything will change, but, I mean they're married now, next comes kids, does this mean our usual sleepovers and nights out end?" Ellie whispered, the sad tone falling from her voice, as Lacey placed a hand on her shoulder. "I don't think anything will change, not that much anyway" Lacey smiled, trying to comfort her friend. "I'm sure you're right Lace" Ben smiled. "You'll all be on babysitting duties" he smirked, as Lacey rolled her eyes at him. "Can we please go and get some food now, I'm starving" Jack mumbled, as his stomach rumbled, and the group began to laugh.—
"I've never been one for speeches" Declan stated, as he stood at the head of the table, with Lauren to his right and Mason to his left, the usual friendship group scattered around the head table, all smiling as they looked up at him. "But I guess I've got to put my match face on and pretend that I'm happy to talk to you all" Declan laughed, as the room laughed with him. "I don't mean that in a bad way, I'm just better with my feet than my mouth" Declan smiled.
"But, I promised Lauren I would do a speech, and after a long, and I mean long night with the boys, I finally managed to write a couple of lines" Declan smiled, proud of himself for being able to write his feelings down on paper.
"Lauren Rice, god that sounds weird" Declan laughed. "Right but weird" he continued. "I love you so much, I mean, I don't know how you put up with me half the time" Declan smiled. "I smell twenty four seven, I always walk mud into the house even through I take my trainers off and I leave my football socks everywhere" Declan laughed. "But you've still held me close despite being sweaty, you've always cleaned up after my, even when I've said I'm do it, you always come to my matches, despite the weather, you'll hold me close when I need comforting, and you'll also tell me when to man up and stop being a child" Declan smiled. "I couldn't be more thankful and happier that I took my chance all them years ago, even if everyone constantly told me you was out of my league, or that you'd leave me in years to come" Declan smiled. "I'm thankful that we had those dates, that you met my family before it got crazy, that you met my best friend and didn't even think twice, you just accepted that Mason will be our adopted child and have his own little granny house in the garden when we're old" Declan laughed, as Mason shook his head laughing. "I'm thankful for everything you do Lauren, everything you've thought of doing and everything you'll do in the future, I know I don't always say it, but I'm really thankful for you, and I'll continue to love you until you tell me to go away, and even then I'll still probably love you with everything I have to give" Declan smiled.
"So, will everyone please join me in raising a glass to my beautiful, stunning, drop dead gorgeous, amazingly talented wife, because I love her, and you guys love her, and we should all appreciate Mrs Rice" Declan smiled, as Lauren shook her head laughing, letting the happier tears fall from her eyes. "And you can now all eat, because Jack I can hear your stomach from here" Declan laughed, as the room all laughed at a red faced Jack.
