Mason wasn't sure when the pressure of being Chelsea captain had got to him, but as his name left the score sheets weeks ago, he struggled to engage and pull the team together, he was worried he was going to be dropped. He didn't understand why he wasn't playing his best, his home life was in the best place it could be, Lacey was in the best place she could be, and Teddy-James and Maisey-Leigh were growing perfectly, he was living his perfect life, if he was scoring goals anyway.

"Babe, it'll come back, don't worry about it" Lacey whispered, as she cuddled into her fiancé on the sofa, some reality TV show in the background, as Mason sat huffing to himself, he thought that even if he had, had the worst game of the season - or so he thought, that he could still come home to his beautiful babies, but they had decided that there were tired enough to actually sleep tonight, much to Masons dismay, he was adamant he was doing the night feeds tonight just so he could see the toothless grins he wanted so badly to see. "Hey, how about I come and watch you tomorrow?" Lacey smiled, as Mason looked up at her with a grin. "You'd really come?" Mason whispered. "Yeah, I'll get Cal or even Loz to see if they can have the twins, and it's an earlier kick off so you can come and see them smiling up at their daddy who's won" Lacey smiled, as she held a hand to Masons shoulder in a comforting way. "You'll wear my shirt?" Mason whispered, as Lacey laughed at him. "Like that's even a question" Lacey smiled, as she relaxed back into Masons side, his mood shifting more positively, maybe he missed Lacey being in the stands, but as he heard Teddy cry over the baby monitor, he was the first one to his feet. "I'm going" Mason smiled, as he jogged up the stairs, holding Teddy close in his arms as he soothed him back to sleep, Mason smiling down at his son, wondering how on earth he ever let not scoring bother him, when he come home to this every day.

"Okay, thank you Loz, I'll call you when we're on the way back" Lacey smiled, as she sat in the box, watching the crowd come booming in through the walkways, 'blue is the colour' playing loudly around the stadium, as Callum cheered to himself, making Lacey giggle. "Excited?" Lacey smiled, as Callum smirked at her. "Yano, it wasn't so long ago that we were stood here, a time when you wasn't engaged, or had children, heck he didn't even know your name" Callum teased as Lacey rolled her eyes. "Oh back when you were screwing my bestie in secret?" Lacey teased him back, as he held his hands up in defence. "Okay, okay" Callum laughed, as the crowd began to boom again, seeing the teams fly up on the screen in front of them.
"Cmon Mase, you've got this" Lacey whispered, as she held her hands together, almost praying for him to have a good game, god he deserved it, all the hours he was putting in, all the time and the effort as well as being a dad to twins, he deserved the world, and Lacey would give it him on a silver platter if she could.

It wasn't long before Mason had knocked a goal in the back of the net, screaming and running around, Lacey jumping up from her seat, smiling and cheering her fiancée on as the camera panned to her, smiling and cheering for him, as he looked briefly at the screen, smiling up at it, as the game continued, Chelsea dominating the pitch, as the whistle blew for half time, Chelsea leading three nil up, the other team feeling sorry for themselves.

"So his in the score sheet" Callum smiled, he knew how hard it was for Mason at the moment, and by the reaction from Lacey, he knew it meant everything to both of them.

As the teams came back out, playing to their best ability, Lacey couldn't help but smile at Mason, it was the best she had seen him play in sometime, and she couldn't help but feel proud of him, as Chelsea were given a penalty, Mason taking up the spot to try and get another goal, Lacey couldn't help but stand on her seat to see over the crowd in front of her, wanting to get the best view possible, as she pulled her phone out to record it, she had every bit of faith that he was going to knock this into the net, she knew he would, and he did just that, setting the score at four nil up, the crowd booming around them, as a few minutes passed, and he mimicked his first goal, sending the ball straight into the top bins, Lacey jumping up and down, hugging Callum, knowing Mason had scored three goals in this game, with the time drawing closer to the end of the match.

And it wasn't long until Lacey was in the tunnel, waiting for her fiancée to appear from the changing room, the score of Seven nil up radiating around the stadium, the fans still in a buzz as they left, the team cheering and chanting from the changing room.
"There's my superstar" Lacey smiled, as she wrapped her hands around Masons neck, bringing him in for a kiss as he lifted her off the ground, holding her close. "It feels great" Mason smiled, as Lacey smiled up at him, placing her feet back in the ground. "You did amazing" Lacey smiled, as Mason smiled back at her. "What does the best captain get in return for his goals?" Mason teased, as the walked hand in hand to the car park, hurrying to get home so they could see their children. "How about I put you in three different positions, maybe try for baby number three, maybe three is my lucky number" Mason rambled, as Lacey laughed at her. "Three positions sounds good" Lacey smirked, as Mason began to drag Lacey to the car, overly excited about getting home now.

Authors Note;
As the year draws to a close, so will Mason and Lacey.. as much as I want to write this everyday, there's got to be a close to a chapter one day.
I've been overwhelmed with the reads that all three of these have got, I'm so shocked, so surprised.
I actually read some of If Only earlier, so I'm going to ask a question;
