another Chance

The three of them sat down together on the dining table. Sasuke sat close to Itachi listlessly, he had no energy and his muscles were still weakened due to the antidote. It was like he was under a very strong anesthesia, he guessed it would take a while longer for the after effects to wear off. He was so listless that he didn't even feel like eating but he still sat in his chair to accompany the two ninjas who were also sitting with him for the dinner. He felt so at peace at the moment, his restlessness significantly toned down as he watched them being so lively.
Naruto and Itachi both looked at Sasuke who looked so sleepy, as if he'd fall asleep any moment now. Naruto stared at his untouched food and sighed as he thought 'fine! Fine! I'll help this troublesome brother eat! Who made me a very reliable and responsible brother, dattebayo!', then he picked up the chopsticks in front of Sasuke and picked a bite of rice and some side dish and brought it near sasuke's mouth. Sasuke caught the sight of food suddenly appearing infront of his mouth and then looked at Naruto who was holding the chopsticks for him and urged him to eat quickly with his shiny blue eyes. He looked at those eyes and then at the food then slowly lowered his head and gently ate the food offered to him. Then he watched the blonde showing a happy smile as he saw him (Sasuke) chew the food and then repeated his actions again. Naruto looked at Sasuke who ate without any fuss, and he suddenly found it very intresting, so intresting that he was not intrested in finishing his own food anymore. Before he knew it Sasuke had finished his dinner but he (Naruto) felt a little regretful that he finished his food so quickly. Itachi who watched the whole scene and had stopped eating at some point also saw QQ the hint of amusement in Naruto's eyes when he was feeding Sasuke and that flash of regret when he realised that Sasuke had finished his meal and he could not feed him. Itachi  also felt a little itchy in his hand he also wanted to feed sasuke, he didn't even realise he had acted on his impulse and brought a bite of food from his own plate, using his own chopstick, to sasuke's mouth who paused for a moment and so did Naruto, looking at him curiously. Itachi regretted his impulse but now he felt a little awkward and hesitated to take back his chopsticks but Sasuke grabbed his wrist and then leaned forward a little to bite off the food. Itachi saw him leaning forward as  he (Sasuke) bit the food from the same chopsticks he(Itachi )was using to eat food. Sasuke's long black eyelashes covered his eyes as he had lowered his eyelids when biting the food. It felt the everything was going a tad bit too slow but too fast at the same time. Sasuke's skin appeared paler, and his pale pink lips appeared rosier and softer due to his pale complexion.  Itachi didn't even realise how focused his gaze was at this moment. He just felt regretful that Naruto had beaten him in feeding Sasuke.

Sasuke could feel Itachi's gaze on himself as he leaned forward, he felt a light tiny bit  of a weird and twisted satisfaction  when Itachi looked at him in such a focused manner, he could not help but feel happy and also felt self disgust at the same time but he didn't wish for Itachi to know about his own twisted feelings so he lowered his eyes so that Itachi won't see the emotions brewing in his them... If it weren't for Naruto's presence, he (Sasuke) thought he could try something else to gauge out Itachi's reaction and see the feasibility of his new plan, to keep Itachi bound to himself, in motion. It was  during his mission when he was in a small village, he had come across  a live drama when he was collecting information about the mission target. At that time he felt that this was ridiculous, but later when karin kept blabbering  about it, he inadvertently thought about it. Although very stupid it was still somewhat feasible, love after all  is a very complicated and 'miraculous' feeling.  The more he thought about it the more useful he found love could be, it could the exact tool that could  keep his aniki from ever leaving him again. So he wanted to test the waters and so far after getting disappointed a few times he finally saw a result he wanted, ' now then how should I proceed with this?' he thought to himself as he back up again and said "I'm full" otherwise looking at Naruto's eager expression and Itachi's intense gaze he felt like he'd be stuffed to death.
After dinner Naruto took his leave saying something about secretly practicing some more of the new jutsu he had been training for with kakashi and Yamato, leaving the Uchiha brothers in the house.

'finally' Sasuke thought as he leaned against Itachi, who had by now gotten used to sasuke's behaviour no longers going stiff as soon as the soft and warm body leaned against him. What he didn't expect was that Sasuke would slowly and gently rub his(Sasuke) cheeks against his own. He frozen for a moment and then slowly took a step back, this continued two or three times after which he found himself against the wall with no where to retreat. He finally placed his hand on sasuke's shoulder gently pushing him back a little "Sasuke" he called his name with a frown. Sasuke on the other hand raised his eyes up locking his eyes with Itachi, uttering a faint "hmm?"  in response. Itachi who locked eyes with him suddenly felt a very new and weird feeling bubbling in the pit of his stomach making him swallow lightly , his adams apple bobbing up and down with his involuntary movement.
