'Dear Odasaku

You may think I'm a moron for sending this letter and hoping you'll read it. It's almost as if I'm pushing myself to do it because I thought it was the proper thing to do and because I don't believe I could express it any other way.

A lot has happened since your passing. I kept your promise and decided to take it even a step further. To put it shorty, I'm striding to be a hero.

Isn't that a pleasant surprise? That is, nevertheless, accurate. I have recently joined the hero school, U.A, and things seem to go swell so far. I met a few people along the way as well!

I've also joined the Armed Detective Agency before this. It was an exhilarating adventure, and I got to meet some incredible people along the way. Although they each have their own distinct personalities, spending time with them is always enjoyable. People with special abilities work for the agency since the police or heroes are unable to handle their situations. It makes me feel superior in a way.

I feel happier. I think? No that's not quite the right word, knowing myself, I'm never truly happy and you know it. But I have to say it's a much better environment than the PM.

I also accomplished one of your other goals. I have adopted an orphan. Well, not really adopted, more like saved, in a way. His name is Nakajima Atsushi. That boy is a reincarnation of the sun. He got kicked out his orphanage and I managed to save him as he was on the brink of death. Since he joined the agency, we've been co-workers.

Atsushi seems to read me like a book. Like you in many ways. This guy seems to know when I'm in a foul mood, or if I'm unhappy. He was always willing to spend time with me, whether it was for lunch or simply chatting. I believe that supporting him rather than abandoning him was the right choice for me.

Detective Kunikida Doppo is my partner. His demeanor reminded me of you. In a way, it's almost like an exact clone. He scolds me, you scold me. It's almost the same. Kunikida is very strict and always is on time for everything. When I'm stressed, he always notices even if I don't show it. As soon as he spots me in a precarious circumstance, he reaches out and holds my hand. So much for the stern front he'd put up for the sake of his career. He cares about me, yet he never says it out loud.

Edogawa Ranpo. One of the sharpest and yet most foolish individuals I've ever met. When it comes to problems that take less than a minute to solve, he is unbeatable. That man can pull up evidence shit right from his ass and is always right. He is addicted to sweets. When the mood is right, he'll make an exception for me and Atsushi, even though it's rare for him to do so.
