"Oh, life is too painful, the reality that confirms the universal belief that it is best not to be born."

(L/N) (Y/N) wasn't the one to be aquatinted with the emotion called fear. But after getting a call from a low ranking member telling her something was wrong with her partner, she wasted no time to start running.

Her throat is burning and tastes like blood, her heart is beating so fast that she feels it's trying to burst out of her chest and her temples are beating, due to the beating of her rapid heart.

It's hard to run. She managed to cut herself on small branches, the ground is uneven which makes it difficult to go fast, especially with the roots. She managed to trip a few times, but the adrenaline coursing in her veins made her instantly get back up.

A clearing slowly appeared in her vision. (Y/N) can hear faint gunshots being silenced and the ground rumbling violently into the distance. She assumed an earthquake had taken place, but after seeing a body being flung up in the air and being brutally shot by some red orb was definitely not something an earthquake does.

(Y/N) managed to escape the forest and into the large clearing. The first thing she was greeted with were dead bodies. So many dead bodies.

Blood. The red liquid was splattered on the grass like it was paint. It was everywhere. On the trees, beneath her shoes, and even on the bodies of those who are deceased.

A loud, sickening cackle made the girl shiver. Her eyes instinctively looked up and her mouth opened in shock. In the air, floated her partner. But at the same time, it wasn't him. His body had a red outline, swirling masses of red curling out along his face and down his arms. His eyes paled until all
(Y/N) could see was white. The menace and murderous intent flowing off of her partner made (Y/N) freeze in fear.

Ah, so this was Arahabaki.

(Y/N) knew what she was looking at, and it wasn't human. That thing was an ancient god taken vessel in Chuuya's body. That thing was the devil itself.

But nonetheless, (Y/N) watched in pure admiration. She watched as Chuuya threw around the bodies of his enemies, crushing them with the red, gravitational force from his red, marked hands. Despite the violent action she's seeing, (Y/N) had never felt so amazed. Even though this demonic weapon was nothing but dangerous, she never realized how beautiful it looked watching it in person.

Corruption was never meant to be seen as a beautiful thing, was it?

Her awe came to an end once (Y/N) looked around. There was no enemies left to kill, so why hadn't Chuuya stopped? Nothing was breathing. Everything that was had turned to merely blood and crushed bones.
