With a blank expression on his face, Ango gazed at the heart vitals on his phone.

'What the fuck.'

When he looked up, he noticed that everyone seemed to be in a good mood. As he returned his gaze to his phone, he felt his heart squeeze firmly.

(L/N) (Y/N) is dead.

And he was the only one who knew at the moment.

Ango blinked and squeezed the bridge of his nose as he removed his glasses.

'How am I going to tell everyone?'

For him, the news was already difficult to believe. He refused to believe it. He knew the maniac wouldn't deliberately stop her heart. He realized she wasn't that vile.

But then again, he never found (Y/N)'s corpse.

It seemed as if the girl had vanished into thin air, like wisps of smoke in the wind. Everything in Ango's small world came tumbling down at that moment, as the grief of losing his friend, his beacon, sent him high into the air, where he appeared to stay afloat. Disconnected. Weightless

Ango took a deep breath and swallowed hard.

His eyes were moist as he rubbed his fingers across them.

Atsushi observed Ango, who appeared to be distressed, off in the distance. Atsushi took a step away from Kunikida and walked over to him.

"Is everything alright, Ango-san?"

In the chill, Ango's shoulders slumped, his face pallid and pinched. The uneasy silence between them strained under the weight of all the unspoken words. He finally murmured something to himself and shook his head, avoiding looking at Atsushi.

"I'm sorry."

Atsushi cocked his head, clearly perplexed. "Sorry? For what?"

Ango did his hardest to remain calm, but his body rebelled and trembled.

"It seems like she finally managed to reach for the stars."
