"God killed me, and only after he had made me into someone entirely different from the person I had been, did he call me back to life?"
—————————————————————————(L/N) (Y/N) was tired.
So tired.
So. God. Damn. Tired.
How did she even get here? Where was she? What happened to her? She was simply in such a state of disorientation that she couldn't tell which emotions were fabricated and which were genuine. They seemed to muddle together in a filthy sludge that she no longer had the energy or motivation to decipher.
What was the source of her exhaustion? What was causing her dizziness? Perhaps it was the antidote's side effects. She didn't know, she was simply too tired to think.
She just wanted to sleep six feet underground and never wake up.
How nice would that be.
The girl's face was hot and flushed, possibly due to illness rather than embarrassment. She blinked her eyes open to the best of her ability.
A cool breeze blew across her face, cooling it slightly. When she looked up, she saw Chuuya, who was carrying her in his arms and was surrounded by a red ethereal glow. He had a serious expression on his face, as if he was thinking deeply.
(Y/N) smiled hesitantly. "Long time no see, Chibi! You missed me?"
"Should have been longer."
"Aha, you're really funny, has anyone ever told you that?" Her lips twitched as she coughed. Her throat ached, and she clenched her eyes shut.
(Y/N) subconsciously leaned into Chuuya's chest, her muscles ached, and she couldn't move. Chuuya frowned as he looked down.
"Are you alright?"
She remained silent because a lump had formed in her throat and she didn't trust her voice. She clenched her jaw so tightly that she thought she'd break a tooth. Chuuya kept a close eye on her, noting how quickly she turned away from him and blinked.
"I'm-"
"No. You aren't." Chuuya stepped in. (Y/N) chuckled lightly, doing her best to conceal what he desperately wanted to say. She returned her gaze to Chuuya, not blinking away the tears that had welled up in her eyes. She had a pained smile on her lips. Her chest was heavy, the weight of the world pressing hard against her shoulders, and her mind replayed everything she had gone through over and over, making her question everything she could have done differently. It was all too much for her to bear, the things she could've avoided. (L/N) (Y/N) had finally reached her limit.
