"Human beings never submit to human beings"
———————————————————————

Imagine all your hard work, all the blood you shed, the sweat you dropped, the skin that peeled from your fingertips, the raggedy breathes leaving your burning lungs, the raging migraines.

All of that, only for it to mean absolutely nothing in the end.

I'm sure the reasonable emotion to feel during something like this is frustration.

Or even anger.

"I would like a full fucking explanation."

The guards that stood behind the female gulped. A bead of cold sweat slowly fell down their faces and onto their expensive suits. They knew they were in trouble. Especially for something they didn't even do. But they knew they wouldn't get yelled at.

Her voice was calm and steady. It would've made anyone think she wasn't mad at all. But the way she spoke and emphasized her words told otherwise.
She didn't move. Her eyes didn't blink. Her body didn't fidget. Her lifeless orbs only stared blankly at the unmoving corpses laid in front of her.

Even though she didn't show it, she can feel the anger boiling up inside her like a erupting volcano. Waiting to explode. The guards could even feel the rage emitting from her skin despite how far they stood away from her.

One of the guards took a shaky breath. "We were able to capture the group that attacked the casino using the knockout gas as planned. One of them committed suicide, but we were able to secure the others and bring them here. We had planned to interrogate them about their—"

"I already know that. I was the one who put those plans in motion after all."

Her voice boomed throughout the room. Creating vibrations in the ones who stood in there with her. It wasn't a pleasant feeling. Far from it actually. One of the guards almost collapsed on their knees due to the nervousness flooding in their veins.

"I'm talking about afterward."

(Y/N)'s oculars scanned the bodies in front of her. All of them. Dead. The red blood slowly oozed out their bodies and staining the concrete flooring. The smell of iron and death filled the air.
