"I despaired, with dazzled eyes...ah, alive, I was alive!"
———————————————————————

It was a successful mission, but (Y/N) would be lying if she said that it made her feel anything. Her uncovered eye was roaming around the hallway, hunting for something to distract her from the etherial boredom that was building up inside of her.

Oh, but then she found just what she's been looking for! Her stupid hatrack just came aroung the corner, so tiny that she almost missed him.

"Hatrack! Just in time! I was wondering when you are gonna start missing me and come here!"

The reaction was immediate.

"Hah?! Don't think so highly of yourself, mackarel. I was just heading out!"

"Mhm." (Y/N) responded with a smile, as if she didn't believe him.

Chuuya gave a little click of his tongue before pushing past his obnoxious partner and heading in the direction of the door.

However, lady luck was not on his side because (Y/N) went right after him and stuck to him like a leech. This was a bad break for him. Her nonsensical chatter was driving Chuuya crazy, and he finally snapped and flung open the door with more force than was necessary. Though, as soon as he took a look around, his frustration subsided as soon as he took a look around.

Snow came as heaven's sunlit glitter to bring their world to a new shine.

A snowflake falls from above. The snowflake took her dance in the wintry air, pure water made all the more beautiful by her crystalline form.

(Y/N) blinks. Once. Twice. When her eyelids flutter open, snowflakes pelt her lashes, and her eyes moisten as they readjust to the snow's slick flakes. Her eyesight is obscured by a cloud of smoky vapor. Grey and dull. Too plain for the beauty around her to hold any sort of value. A transient universe encapsulated in the pristine splendor of white. Ready to melt once the clouds fade into wisps of smoke no longer hiding the sky and the sun from view.

The season of death dying to be reborn. (Y/N) stares at the oddity in the monochrome world of muted shades.

Her friend sticks out just as much as if one had come to a funeral in white. Head full of fiery locks, eyes as clear as the summer sky with his light-colored coat. A splash of color instead of a shadow like himself. (Y/N) nearly expects the snow-covered ground around the boy to melt, if only from the bright color scheme. Nothing happens.

The ground was covered in white, thick layer of snow, tree branches bending against the heaviness of it. There were already some people that took upon themselves to clean the roads, seeing as the snow reached almost up to Chuuya's knees.
